Blocked persons are still able to receive and deliver invites to groups. That should probably be fixed, or at least looked into. Maybe it was just a one-time glitch.

Also, if there could be some way to prevent a blocked person from seeing your profile, that would be great. It's really uncomfortable to know that blocking someone doesn't really remove them from hovering around you, trailing your posts, even if they can't get involved in those you start. There's a strong temptation to try and stay connected to people you once trusted, so I get it, but it'd be best if a block could at least safeguard our Recent Activity or the profile page itself. Thanks.

Please submit a bug report about the issue with group invitations! Include any details you can.

Regarding hiding your profile: since simply logging out would allow a person to look at your public posts, profile, and anything else that's by definition public, I don't see much value in hiding it from blocked folks. =/

I'll get on the bug reports, asap. ^__^

And that's a fine point. To which I wonder, could it be possible to - perhaps with an epic account purchase - set your profile to private? Again, at least the recent activity, though the profile blurbs themselves would also be nice. >.< I'd buy an epic account tomorrow, if so.

I have historically resisted the idea of setting the recent activity feed to private because to logged out folks, it only shows stuff that is public, which means that even with it gone someone who knows a few Google commands could duplicate its information (and probably even more than it shows!) with the world's biggest search engine for free at any time, and it kind of makes me nervous to offer a feature that would make people feel more secure while not actually making them much more secure. This seems questionable to me like... ethically.

That said, I've been softening on the idea in terms of just presenting it as a method of controlling profile layout, not security, as part of a potential larger feature set to re-organize one's profile. So it may occur at some point in the next year or so. I wish I could say it would happen faster, but programming is slow and there's lots to do!

Hey, I'm grateful the the idea is even in consideration and possible implementation. I'll get out of your hair about that.

On a side-note, however... is it possible to simply not have a recent activity feed? And furthermore, is it possible to actually dump your trash? That is, when I delete a message in my inbox, it goes to the Trash section... but then it just sits there. Indefinitely, it seems. Can I remove it somehow, aside from making a new folder, putting everything I want gone inside of it, and then deleting that whole folder?

It will remove itself from your trash after a few months. The trash was introduced because I got very tired of people asking me to restore messages they'd deleted and wanted back weeks or months after the fact, so it's there for self-serve.

When this works, it's because of a bug that will eventually be solved, and all those messages will end up in your trash again. ;)

That's... horribly sensible. Drat.

>.<

Thanks, Kim.
