Once a storm called the Element Storm has passed over the town of Gilwarrow where Castra lives. There were exactly six bolts of lightning called Elemental Lightning from the storm, and each struck one person, giving them Elemental Powers. The normal people think of these people with powers dangerous, so the Elementals must hide them. Cas is one of them, and must look for other Elementals while keeping her powers hidden from normal humans.

Castra yawned as the sun rose on the town of Gilwarrow, feeling a burst of heat as the fire inside her responded to a new day. She stretched and got out of bed. “Good morning, Flametail,” she said to her bright orange cat. She brushed, and splashed her face with water (despite her dislike of water) and made breakfast, tossing a bit of fish to Flametail. After she was done, she went for her regular stroll in the town, hoping to find an Elemental, though she knew no one would show their powers publicly, with the risk of being “terminated” by the army. She wondered why people thought the Elementals were dangerous.

Lucas hated mornings. He hated it more starting yesterday morning when he woke up in a freezer. No--- He didn't teleport to his microwave-sized freezer and somehow shrank at the same time. Absolutely not. He woke up with his room like a freezer. Every corner was covered with at least mild snow. The boards, and floor were ice and the ceiling? Icicles stuck out like blades, poised to fall and impale him. Two night's ago, he was struck by lightning. Two night's ago, he was brought to the village hospital and was officially titled as the "Weirdest Case Ever"
"You should've died..." His doctor scratched his head, confusion and a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "But you didn't." That was what they said.
Luca (not a mistake
It's his nickname) wasn't blaming the stupid bolt for choosing him though. He preferred blaming the dream... If you could call it a dream. Mornings were the best time of the day, but they always pass by so quickly. That's why he despised it. Getting up from bed already took so much time. What about his private time and breakfast time? Longer. And he had to prepare for his work too! Exactly, mornings just didn't have enough time.
Today, he woke up the same way with a bit of a tweak. The floorboards were darker after the ice melted and the water dried off. But, as his feet touched the wood a thin layer of snow formed under. His hands gripped the frame of his bed, creating hand marks.
Today just wasn't his day.
Breakfast took longer than usually as the room temperature just turned zero. He couldn't feel the cold. The cold somehow made him feel warm, a weird combination, and it did nothing ease his anger for being unable to eat his breakfast.
After unwillingly skipping as he was afraid he'd turn his house to nothing but a complete replica of Elsa's castle, he left.
He was doing his morning shift on the second Village Hospital when the shivers shot him like a bullet. It hit him stronger than yesterday.
//"Get the doctor!" Mother always had a shrill voice. It pounded on his ears. She was shaking badly, and liquid drops fell on his cheeks. She held him so close, as if clunging to his haggard breathing, and pressing harshly on his wound would have done anything to stop Death's bell.
She should just tended to the king, his father. That was what Luca always thought... Because as she clutched at his almost lifeless body... His father lied near his throne, pitiful eyes towards him.\
He couldn't stop gravity taking over his whole body as he fell. Warmth took his body, and every part of him ached. Wasn't being warm good?
//"Get away from the fire. Luca!!!"\
Maybe Death was coming, because all of a sudden he couldn't breathe. All of a sudden, he thought he was in flames.
And the doctor fell to the ground. And the hospital, already in frenzy, took on a crazier turn.

((And we didn't get hurt from the lightning, and the people don't know who got struck by lightning, so the Elementals have to keep their identities secret. I was thinking that maybe the Storm happened a few months ago, so the Elementals are used to their powers.))

Jude looked to the lake before him. He had been coming there almost everyday since the storm. Unusual seeing as it was in the centre of town, and he usually kept to the outskirts. But there was something about being close to the water that set him at ease. Also unusual, considering how cautious he usually was.
Two people stood not far away, just close enough that Jude caught snippets of their conversation. Fear, and hate for the so called elementals. Jude shot them a glare, but was quick to turn his focus to the water. He couldn't afford to raise suspicion. Not when he would be killed because of his power.

She did not know of what lay beyond the forest, only that it did not like her. She leaned against the air and a tree quickly spiraled up from the ground to give her support. She heard loud noises and wondered if it was from the inhabitants of the 'city' nearby.

Castra wandered the streets, staying around the Factory. The Factory was the first eco-friendly factory created in Gilwarrow. It was right next to the lake in the center of town, creating power from churning water. Despite it being next to water, Cas liked it because it was the hottest place in town, and the only place she could slightly use her powers without being found out. Because of the harmless sparks and small flames surrounding it, she could pop sparks from her hands, and create small fire. She looked over the lake, and saw someone gazing intently at the water. Maybe he was watching if the Water Elemental accidentally caused a shift in the water. She shrugged. People around here were so vigilant for any small mistake an Elemental made that could point to who they were. She glanced towards the forest at the edge of the city. Cas suddenly saw a new tree sprout up. It was just a small disturbance, but she had grown used to watching for the small details to find any other Elemental. And she might have just found the Plant Elemental. She headed towards the forest, and stopped at the edge of the city where it met the trees.
Rose saw someone come close and her eyes widened. She instinctively made a wall of thorns shoot up in front of her for protection. She didn't know who this was, and she didn't know what they would do to her.
