I know, I know... many of you are probably thinking "Why not put this in the Art and Creativity forum?" Well, I'm just expressing my honest opinion here. And possibly RP ideas inspired by these pieces of music..? I dunno.

Onwards to the groundbreaking discovery!

Oh. My. God. I just found two of the craziest metal groups/genres ever. When I found them, I was literally laughing my guts out. Prepare to be amazed...

Cat O' Nine Tails: Oh God, literally. A Freaking Christian Pirate Metal Group? WHAAAT!? I mean, I give them kudos for being Christian and all, but I'm left wondering.... just how on Earth did they think of this idea? Good Lord..

Automaton: Finally, I've found an inkling of something I've been searching for so long! A STEAMPUNK METAL GROUP! Actually, its power metal, which is not your standard metal... but it still fits the technical criteria! Now, if people would just get the message, and make a steampunk Power/metalcore group! If only....

Now that you've seen the ridiculous groups, you might shudder at the RPs I might be brewing up in my head.... You may be right. Heheh... But still, making either a pirate RP or a steampunk RP based on either (loosely...) might not be a bad idea...

Now then, now that I've discussed my extraordinarily strange bands, wouldn't be rude if I didn't ask for your input? So! Tell me what you think of these bands, and if you have some other funky bands you would like to comment on, go ahead!
Hmm, Babymetal. And I wish I could remember the name of another group, I think it's two young Japanese girls and a growling white guy who is frequently in lolita drag.

Then Gregory Brothers did Happy Radioactive. And some original oddball stuff.

WestWorld has some odd covers, like Black Hole Sun on old-timey piano.

And I'm fond of key swaps. Especially One Winged Angel. It's magical. Makes everyone imagine Sephiroth frolicking through flowery fields while faeries dance around him.

You're thinking of Ladybaby and the kawaii metal genre as a whole XD
I think this is the craziest cover from the craziest dude...my man Marilyn Manson!!!

I'm not sure if this entirely counts, but it's one song done in several different styles.

I may be late, but just look up White Walls by Still Remains.
Xeno-san and Another-san, those songs are just my style. ^^

Anyone know Melanie Martinez? I think she falls perfectly under this forum. Like for example: listen to Mad Hatter

Deathgrips is always good for """""crazy""""" stuff, really disjointed on first listens, but it comes together better each listen HFFF

I don’t really think Melanie Martinez’ music is that out of the ordinary. Her backing tracks have a pretty contemporary feel to them, it’s just the doll-ish aesthetic that gives her a different kind of feel. She’s kind of like a lolita Lana Del Rey to me. Not saying her music’s bad, though, “Dollhouse” and “Dead To Me” used to be staples in my music library.

Personally, I think the dark cabaret genre is pretty noteworthy in terms of weirdness. Most songs are pretty tame, but some just outright make me feel like I’m at a freakshow or a grimey theatre somewhere, like ‘Circus Fish’ by Vermillion Lies.
Hmm...Personally, I think this fits: The Bone Zone, by Vargskelethor.

Being a metal-head, Vargskelethor (otherwise known as Joel) is great for my needs! Heh, heh, heh...
Rogue-Scribe

I always can go with Corvus Corax for some crazy old world German drinking songs...
