Once upon a time i used to love drawing. I could only draw certain things but I was working on improving. But I was really decent at being a copy cat artist. I could look at a picture and mimic it no problem. I was even working with water colors.

Then i got in a toxic relationship that killed it. Ive been out of that relationship for a couple years now but i have trouble getting back into. Ill be in the mood, have my supplies ready to go but as soon as i start the desire to draw dies immediately. Is it possible that it's gone for good and theres no getting it back?

This is something I'm curious about too. I used to colour free line art images all the time and I got really good at it. At least in my opinion. I just lost interest in it somehow.

I'll subscribe to the topic to see if anyone has any really good tips.

e-e Maybe we can inspire each other. Eh, brat?

Yesss! Ill give you loads of inspiration! Lol maybe xD The most artistic thing I do these days is color in my books 😂
Everyone is different of course, but for me the key is often simply making stuff; 'just doing it'. Doesn't have to be good, doesn't even have to be fun at first. Once I get going, I tend to get more interesting ideas and from there on out the ball starts rolling.

Another option is to get an RP going with someone that also draws and add artwork to the story. That might motivate and create a little sense of obligation that can be the little push you need to get going.

Finding fun tutorials to follow can also help. Can lead you into new subjects/ techniques and sometimes the person making the tutorial can be infectious with their enthusiasm.

Also maybe don't focus on drawing alone too much. There's countless ways to let your creativity out. These days there's a lot of decent material available for reasonable prices. Things like knitting, crocheting, jewelry making, sculpting, etc. are a lot easier to delve into.
