So recently I've been thinking of opening a PayPal account and doing commissions/trades/selling art n stuff for some extra money that I can call my own.

I've thought about it in the past, but it's been a eh for me as I've had my share of haters that I've let get to me and what I think myself about my art. Don't get me wrong, I've also had my decent share of positive comments and remarks about my stuff, but I can be very sensitive, even if I don't want to be.

So... What do you guys think?

personally, i think you should dedicate to improving first, commissions shouldn't really be that important at such early stage, to call it something, as the one in which you find yourself; specially since you mention you can't 'handle' haters very well, in which it only means you need more exposure to the overall critique community. first to be able to haver another couple of eyes having a perspective on your piece, and letting you know what you could've improve upon, and second, to learn to be able to tolerate opinions.

now, don't think i'm trying to say that critique communities are inherently negative or that those should be accepted, as the goal for critiques is to be positive and share knowledge. but being exposed to it will allow you to understand when someones is trying to help, and when someone isn't, specially will help you learn how to deal with trolls:
    not feeding
    not caring
    not stoping (art)

so hopefully my input is helpful for you! good luck.
