Hi all! If you were perusing the 'Looking for RP' forum recently, you may have seen this character of mine floating around! Wendell is one of the characters I'm really getting into as of late, and I've actually been drawing him a lot! But since I am really picky about face claims when it comes to characters I've drawn first, it's been really hard to find one that seems to match him well and just ~feel~ like Wendell, you know what I mean?? So I wanted to throw this out there - does anyone have any good suggestions as to a face claim that might suit Wendell well?? Or where I can search that has a good database of faces? A faceabase? (I'm so funny) Honestly I don't even know where to start, since I sort of stumble across most of my race claims... I'd really appreciate the help, since I'd love to have some photos of what he might look like irl :0

Im not certain I understand the point. If he has art already, why do you need a photo of a real life person?

I admit, once i've drawn a character that is HOW they look and in my case, finding a real person who looks exactly right (right jaw, right nose, right eye shape etc) is very very difficult if not downright impossible.

I prefer art, means I can have them look "just right" hahah, rather than having to do some photofit creepiness or settling on "generic actor #473 or something.

I just like to have options! I think it's fun having both drawings and real 'references' to my characters, and it opens a lot more doors for roleplaying opportunities, too, since some prefer art, while others prefer face claims. I still have a character that I used to draw a lot, and one day I came across a ~model~ or whatever that just screamed my character, and I got so stoked about it. Since then I've gotten to use that character a lot more, and had a lot of fun with it.

I also don't need the face claim to look exactly like what I'm hoping to find - sometimes they don't really look a lot like the drawings at all but it's still totally that character, you know?

he looks eerily similar to my character dev (just friendlier lol), so i was wondering if the model dylan bell would work for you? i don't think there's a lot of photo shoots for him, but hopefully this helps? :0

Oh, woah! They are really similar looking! I'll probably look him up and use some of his photos for face claim references, if that's alright with you?? He's almost exactly what I'm looking for, honestly :0 Also thanks so much for showing him to me, either way! I know sometimes it's hard to give away face claim models. x3

Oh my goshhh honestly.... that's pretty good....

Cole is so cute and I've always wanted to use him for.... someone, anyone! But I always feel weird using FC's that are that recognizable. Also I'm pretty sure he's cosplaying Milo from Atlantis??? Who like I guess Wendell is just a rip off of cause they're essentially the same design LOL, I'm a fraud.

BUT I DIGRESS. Those are good photos.... And I just might be weak enough to use them....

He kind of reminds me of Newt Scamander (just without glasses) played by Eddie Redmayne 🤔

For anyone else who needs a face claim, I have a huge bunch of them in my that I'm constant updating.
