Damien ruffled Henry's hair and laughed as Henry ducked away.
"Whatever, dude. I'm sure you're too scared to ride it anyway," he teased with a grin. Henry scoffed. "You wish. Zoe and me are taking the Fire-rocket head-on. Right, Z?"
Damien smiled at his friends. Lyds and Lukas were sharing a bag of cotton candy and lingered near the back of the group while Zoe and Anna led the group towards the tall roller coaster. They were chatting and laughing and he couldn't help but notice the way Anna's eyes shone excitedly in the sun's light and how her laughter was so contagious. He smiled as he looked at her, unable to help it.
His daze was broken by Henry jabbing him with his elbow.
"Ow! Henry, that hurt!," he protested as he rubbed his side. But Henry was looking at him with a knowing look as he smiled and made a kissy face. And just like that, Damien was after him and Henry was forced to hide behind Lyds. "Alright! Alright! I'm sorry!," he laughed before cautiously venturing out from behind her.

Anna laughed at Zoe's story about how horrible her vase had turned out. Lyds had tried to convince her to pick up pottery, but Zoe seemed insistent to sticking with drawing and painting.
"Oh, it couldn't have been that bad...,"Anna said with a grin.
"Oh, but it was! Even the teacher said it was an 'enthusiastic first try'," Zoe said in mock despair. "Guess I'll never be a professional pottery person."
Anna draped an arm around her friend's shoulders. "It's alright. You've seen my stick people. At least you have talent."
"That's not true! Your voice is amazing!," Zoe protested. Anna's face turned a light shade of pink as she couldn't argue. She did love singing. As they neared the roller coaster the group had decided on riding, she looked up. It was the newest and fastest in the park.
Anna jumped when Damien raced past her, chasing a laughing Hanry around for some reason. She gave Zoe a confused shrug, saying How should I know what that was all about? as the group looked mournfully at how long the line was. Zoe sighed as they took their place at the back of the snaking line, bouncing on her toes in excitement. Anna couldn't deny that she was excited as well. Even if she was just the tiniest bit nervous as well.

Damien chatted with Henry for a while about the band and new music ideas before turning to see a brief look of worry cross Anna's face. He joined her in front with Zoe to see what was wrong.
"Hey, Anna. What's wrong? Something up?"

Anna shook her head with a small smile at Damien's question.
"Oh, it's nothing. Just a little bit of last-minute nerves," she said with a shrug as she looked up at the roller coaster with a shrug.
