So, I've had this amazing idea for a story. Not any regular story though; a story of action, drama: all based around the RPR community.

Thats as much detail as I'll add for now. There's one thing I need though:

You guys!

Not your characters though. (so annonymous character comments will be ignored) I just need you guys, as yourselves, as people.

Simply comment below with the following information:

- a written description or a picture of how you want yourself to look like in the story. (include height, weight, etc.)
- a written description of this person's personality and thinking.
- why/how RPR has made a difference in your life.
- why you love to RP/Draw/Write

I will read through every one, and the list below will be updated with your username. I will read through everyone's profile pages as well, so I can get a good understanding. :D

List:

1. StaticNightmares
2. Skipbab
3. Abigail_Austin
I would like to be a character in a book.

Written description: The character of The one and only Skipbab, is a skeleton, alive after death. The wonders of the modern world keeps it alive. Well his memory is in a memory bank, so it's just his skeleton the have remained. To have a physical presence, the skeleton is at every joint connected with small motors to act as muscles. All the hardware is stored in the skull, with orange lights sticking out the sockets to act as eyes. He is around 178 cm tall and weighs about 45 kilos.

Why/How RPR has made a difference in your life: It's not a very noticeable one, but it have made me a better writer. It have made me more confident in my ability to write long texts in short amounts of time.

-Why you love to RP/Draw/Write? I'm not the great at drawing, singing is a no-go because I got the singing voice of a belowing bull that have smoked for forty years. So writing were a way for me to be creative to a point were other people would also enjoy what I made.

Hope this will do.

Update: 14/12/18

A character profile containing information about characters, scenery, updates, and much more will be created as soon as I can get round to it. On the note of this, I feel like I need at least 10 - 15 people to successfully begin to write this, so please feel free to comment. ^_^
Is it possible to have some influence on ones characters personality?

If you mean your own character's personality, then of course! (Now that I think about it, I should probably add in a part to describe their personality... That'd be a smart idea.)
Great. The character of Skipbab, would place facts before feelings. He doesn't care for emotions, just the pursuit of science. He likes to make experiments, often were the participants are unaware of the fact, that their are test rats. He does sometimes show emotion, he's not completely dead... Emotionally. He would laugh at the occational joke, espacially the ones that are so dumb, that they actually becomes funny.

What picture would you get of this person?

I instantly thought of a sociopathic murderer. (I watch too many crime shows... Oof)

Ah, right. I'll take a look. :)

This is a neat idea, and I hope you have fun with it. :) However, I see you planned on including Kim and maybe some of the mod team. I realize that this is a story, not a RP, but we have a rule that disallows RPing as (or otherwise making fiction of) real life people. You're welcome to write about anyone who gives consent, just not anyone you haven't received explicit permission from. All the moderators (and Kim) are uncomfortable with fiction being made about us!

That's fine! ^-^
So I went back to answer this and I have a question. The idea is that we are RPing as ourselves right? Or creating a character? *confused*

It's not RPing as yourself- it's more creating a character so that I'm not making assumptions (and therefore have permission) about people which might upset them.
- a written description or a picture of how you want yourself to look like in the story. (include height, weight, etc.)

Hair: brown
Eyes: brown
Weight: Average
Height: 5' 5"

- a written description of this person's personality and thinking.

An RpR addict, on for 10 hours at a time

Always trying to engage people in some kind of OOC conversation to quell boredom

Tries to cheer people up

Kind of silly

Goes on existential rants at unpredictable times

Loves long, involved conversations about politics, philosophy, religion and so on.

- why/how RPR has made a difference in your life.

(I just answered this in Sanne's giveaway thread, so I'll just copy and paste. Collapsing due to length.)

Long thing

RpR has helped me with some social skills and hugely with writing skills. The writer in me was just waiting to come out when I discovered RpR. All the skills and pieces were there, inside, but no vehicle existed to facilitate me putting them all together, resulting in art.

In that sense, the skills, desires, experiences, and personality traits to be a good writer were all there within me, like threads of yarn, if you will..., and RPR is the knitting needle that allowed me to knit them all together into a pattern (roleplay) that produced a beautiful result. Actually I think of RpR (in particular, and RPing in general) as---like---a loom. It weaves of these different threads together--the social aspect, the vocabulary aspect, the plot aspect, the expressing-emotions aspect, the visual aspect--and before I know it, I've suddenly got a piece of fabric in my hands. You know? I knew I could write before RpR, but I thought I sucked at fiction. I did suck at fiction. I don't now. I am good at writing fiction now.

Some other ways in which RpR has influenced me are:

1. Good Friendships

2. Helping me to isolate and identify what I find beautiful or horrible about many things and phenomena that I have strong feelings about, by requiring/allowing me to go through the process of describing them in words.

3. The bliss of sharing and having someone know, understand and care about your inner thoughts.

Further explaination of this

Some people find IC interactions completely impersonal--I can't. To me, even how I describe a sunset shows what particular qualities in sunsets that I find beautiful. What qualities move me, in particular. Or when describing a beautiful woman or what an embrace feels like to me and what fear or anger feels like to me, or what love feels like to me, or what a rainy day looks like to me. Those, to me, are inner thoughts, and for someone to care enough about my inner thoughts to actually read them and respond kindly, by sharing their inner thoughts with me in return--their way of viewing the world--its BLISS to me. This whole process is bliss to me. I get lazy sometimes or unmotivated but, in general, the exchange that happens during roleplay is a very intimate and meaningful thing for me, and that's why I find it so addictive.

4. Better understanding different peoples' plights. I have had the motivation to look up and read about many diseases and mental health issues because of people here who I know with those issues.

5. Experiencing what support groups are like (HFY), and realizing I might want to be part of one IRL someday.

6. Picking up writing tips from people by seeing how they write.

- why you love to RP/Draw/Write

See the long thing above

No drawing, just writing for me.
