Then when I fell asleep I dreamed that there was a huge event in multiple places where I got to meet RpR people and Google maps showed different peoples' screen names as little blinking blips on the map at various parties around the generic city where it was happening. It was interesting.

Sort of. Individual members have arranged small meets with friends or nearby members, and I think it's Darth Angelus who's announced himself at conventions he's gone to in case any other RPR folks were there. As for something more official... I don't think there's time or money for it.

Funny thing...it was kind of a dream about technology being too invasive, because it was like an app and I had downloaded it on my phone, and part of the app download in the dream was agreeing to reveal your location lol. And pretty much everyone was doing it for like one day, and then deleting the app. (I have really detailed dreams, no joke). And in the dream I reluctantly hit the ok button or whatever, and then I saw a map, and it was like....Sanne over here, and Blnk over here, etc etc, and the locations were theaters...like a whole theater was rented, and like...concert venues, places like that. And I was frustrated because people I wanted to see were at different locations, and I was rushing around, and one locale wasn't much fun, so we went to another one. And the funny part is, some people were like, "I'm not revealing my screen name," because they wanted to be anonymous so they would say their real name but not who they were on here. It was like bizarro world. And the event (in my dream) was on the news. And I was watching the news, trying to decide which location would have the most people that I wanted to see, but then there was this moment where I realized "oh crap...if I can see their location then that means everyone can see my location...what if I forget to delete the app?" So it was like this dystopian science fiction plot twist in the dream.
And you know what? I think I just realized why I dreamed some of that! Because ever since I bought this new phone after my phone bit the dust due to water damage, Google Maps has been asking me to review things.
It's freaky.
Like...if I go to Taco Cabana, the next time I look at my phone there's a page up that says, "How was Taco Cabana?" And then if I go to someone's apartment complex, after I leave, it will be like, "How would you rate ABC Townhomes?" And...I'm like...stop tracking me! I finally figured out how to turn it off, but it was not the easiest thing to do, I'll tell ya. Google had decided that I'm a "Second Level Reviewer," or something like that, and trying to find the place where I could tell it no, I'm not, thank you very much, lol, was kinda tricky. Soooooo....I guess that was on my mind. So now that I think about it...lol...the dream makes perfect sense. That, along with a shameless desire to meet some of my RP partners and also just having been on RpR and maybe thinking of this as a little city, in a way...a virtual city. My brain might not know the difference on some level so I dreamed about it as if it were a place, because it kind of is. Or that's how our spatially developed minds like to think of it to make sense of it.

I remember hearing about a guy once who went on a tour around the country meeting all his Facebook friends.
If I had the time and money...believe you me, I'll love to do that kind of tour and meet all my RP partners who express mutual interest. But, unfortunately, I can't even afford to meet one person right now! Lol. If it ever happened, yeah, some kind of mass migration to a certain Comic Con would be what would make the most sense. All the other fancy stuff is only in my dreams haha. I don't where my brain comes up with this stuff! *shrugs*
OmG. I was actually daydreaming about meeting up in this big place like they have for dances and we each sat at a table with whatever forum we liked best and whenever our group was called up, we reenacted our roleplay. We all got hoodies with out username and picture on the front with "RPR, TheRoleplay Repository." Written on the back in a circle around the logo.

What a crazy dream lol. It is unsettling how invasive phones are becoming. The one ad tracking method that creeps me out is how I’ll have a conversation with a friend or coworker about something, and said thing all of a sudden pops up as a random ad.
I had a dream that I was trapped in a really wacky world. (Think Alice in Wonderland, Wizard of Oz, and Beetlejuice mixed together)
So basically, I had to save some random guy from getting executed by the queen. But I was having so much fun in that world that I forgot about him, and he died. Fast forward a bit and I end up getting arrested by furries.
Plot twist; at the end of the dream I find out that I was sucked into a roleplay, and when I got arrested I got shot out of the rp. I woke up so confused and scared.
So basically, I had to save some random guy from getting executed by the queen. But I was having so much fun in that world that I forgot about him, and he died. Fast forward a bit and I end up getting arrested by furries.

Acting out our roleplays...hmmm...what a thought! Hahaha. Some of them, I would love to act out, and some of them...well if I tried to act them out, it MIGHT get me slapped. Hahaha. Ok not slapped but in trouble......with SOMEone. But geez would that be fun. :p

You know, one of the coolest things about RpR is meeting people from all over the world. But then it's also like...geez...they're so far away. Our brains kind want them to be within reach, I guess.
