How does a name change effect the way that your username displays in old posts? I've seen some people with a line through their name and no way to find their current profile and I wasn't sure if that was the result of a deleted profile or a name change. Also, does it change your username in posts where you've been quoted? I'd love for consistency to avoid confusion, but I understand if that's not possible.
The line through is for deleted profiles. Name changes update to show the new name on previous posts. Quotes are not updated because the text of the name is written inside the post, but future quotes will use the updated name.
