Hey, fellow roleplayers!
I'm a stranger from a faraway land looking for a new place to live out the thrills of adventuring with others after my home got destroyed! Careful though, I know not of the customs here, so have patience!
In all seriousness, I recently discovered rprepository a few days ago and have been snooping for a while. Currently, I am seeking people interested in a Silent Hill RP, since survival/tragic horror is my obsession again for, what? The seventeenth time? Anyhow, although a roleplay centered in the Silent Hill universe would be preferable, I'm not afraid to try a hand at a completely original survival/tragic horror roleplay, OCs and everything.
Though, I'm kinda picky about my survival/tragic horror.
[*]Psychological horror and stories that dig to the darkest parts of humanity are my cups of tea.[/*]
[*]I'm not huge on movies that feature a big supernatural monster causing all the mayhem. I feel those lack the depth I desire unless they're not so much the focus on the narrative but rather serve as metaphors for different concepts. Refer to Silent Hill.[/*]
[*]Let the characters be the monsters.[/*]
[*]Each character should have a motivation embracing their darkness. The more tragic, the better.[/*]
[*]Isolation. Literal darkness. Separation. Tragedy. Yes.[/*]
This is really just me trying to fill a hole for some really deep story-telling. If you're not afraid to tackle some unsettling concepts about the human condition, let's cook something up! I don't mind romance and companionship built on trying to distract from guilt/pain/suffering/fear. either. Let's keep it story-driven, though, yeah?
I'm always open to different takes and I just want to work on crafting powerful narratives as I work to better myself in a genre I've only ever admired. Post length can vary, though I'd prefer a bit of well-kept description following dialogue?
Also, again, I'm new to the workings of this site, so bear with me!

The name made me think of the Sonic.Exe animation that had a Silent Hill Zone in it.

This character is a unique fantasy character I have created for an original story revolving around her childhood. Very demonic stuff really. Although I am sure you recognize the picture.
Originally when I first created her I wanted a similar feel to Alessa Gillespie, only with her own demons and story. At this point only the picture is the same, and I'm not really sure if i draw the comparisons between the two young girls because I know one was my inspiration for the other, or if there is actually some lingering similarities between the two (behold the human condition)
I will be honest, there are some dark roads I would not want to walk down (particularly with a character who is an 8 year old girl) but I would definately have an interest in putting her (or another) character in a Silent Hill setting. (I'm guessing a different more vulnerable character but who knows)
If I haven't scared you off with my alleged 'will nots' then feel free to PM me, we can discuss which darkness might work for the both of us.
(P.S. I really only have seen the movies, mostly the first one as the second one kind of flopped)

That's alright and I get that there is a thing as too dark for some people. I love character drama and backstories and stuff like that, so I think you're good there. I'll send a message here in a moment!

I haven't done anything horror related or even anything depressing ever on RPR and almost for three years outside of it! 
Anyways, I hope I can join this beautiful RP idea ^-^
I've watched both the movies and know some of the game lore, but not too much sadly. If you really want to have it centered in the Silent Hill universe then I can definitely search more of the lore/setting/metaphors of the monsters and all that jazz. >-< Not entirely sure what else to put here so I suppose that's all for now folks! ^~^

Welcome! That's alright. A love of good, old fashioned horror mixed with a healthy dose of tragedy is all you really need to get by. Similarily, I'll work on getting a PM to you, too. It might happen in a few hours since I need some sleep.
