Hello everyone. I am the newbie here, just joined.
I've been in the business of RP for "quite some time" now, very long actually.
I did pretty much every RP that is or was out there, ranging from down to Earth RP's to Science Fiction, fantasy and superheroes. My preference is Sci Fi or superheroes, but I can adapt to anything if given a chance and enough time.
Anyways, I do hope I am not breaking any rules by saying this but I am here to find role players for a little community that me and a couple of my friends and acquaintances set up almost six months ago. We sadly lost some members and we basically need to replenish our ranks and add new members. So I'm hoping to find some here.
Anyways that is basically it. As I said, I do hope I am not breaking any rules, and if I did, I truly do apologize.

Hi there TheDetective, welcome to RPR! As you can see the community is fun, friendly, welcoming and helpful! If you haven't yet, we recommend browsing the tutorial, it's got a ton of helpful tips and guides for all sorts of different RP-related subjects, from making characters to looking for RP partners--even experienced roleplayers may find things they hadn't thought of, I know I sure did. And if you're still not sure about something on the site after checking out the tutorial, feel free to ask questions of the mods and anyone else who offers to help.
If you're hankering for some specific kind of RP, we have an awesome Find RP tool that has a bunch of neat filters and stuff you can use to look for particulars. If you just wanna browse, you can go straight to the Looking For RP forum and see if anything there catches your eye, or even post ideas of your own!
Or if you just wanna chat for a bit as you decide what kind of characters you want to make, we have a place for Smalltalk too!
And above all...hope you have fun and stick around a while to make a bunch of RP friends! These people being friendly sure helped me decide to stay, too, when I was new!
I love Superhero stuff! Do you have any particular settings/canon characters you really like? Marvel, DC. Dark Horse, etc?

We're a Discord Server, but it is all the same principle as RPing on forums or on live chat.Its all the same basically, we just basically use Discord Server. I myself was on forums and chats doing RP for years and years and just recently found out Discord. Its the same principle basically.
I do have a favorite hero. Its the guy in my nickname and my avatar. Batman. So DC all the way. There are others that I like, but since he was the fist one I was introduced to at a young age, he is the one who is and always will be my number one. As for canon and settings, I like to mix it a bit. Use various sources from comics, series and TV and then add something of my own, or the ideas from my group and mix it all together for a fun experience.
And yes, I would like to RP here, by all means? Why not? It should be fun.

And, ahhhh, Batman, excellent! Nothing better than the Dark Knight, yeah...along with his famous gallery of rogues! And I agree, mixing up various canons can be great, in fact I am from a site where one of the major RP's is a huge amalgamation of multiple superhero franchises, including the three major comics companies I listed.
Also good luck on the finding new members for an infusion of new blood, I am sure you'll get some though as I have seen more than a few people here make and play both canons and OC's from superhero universes!

And yes, the character limit on Discord is kind of annoying at times, but we got no problem with that. We simply split it up into as many parts as we need to. I've seen 20+ messages jump up from one members. Hell I myself am to blame for similiar, since sometimes I just let the muse flow and write.
Yes Batman and his famous gallery of rogues. Some more familiar, some obscure but once you dig in a bit deeper, you see that it is not just the familiar ones that are interesting.
