My character is in the darker side- gangs out with the "Zombie" side, having a much more pessimistic outlook on life. She also has horrific grades.
One day, your character sees her sitting alone outside, wrapped up warm in her brother's jacket. Word had got around her brother got attacked, and lost his life. She as grieving.
