Greetings! I have been a writing and RPG enthusiast for many years. I started in high school writing stories and designing an RPG with some friends. In college I continued writing stories in the hope of eventually completing and publishing a book. I also got into several D&D groups and had a blast. Unfortunately, life has gotten in the way of my writing. I am now 40 years old, and I am trying to revive the writer's spark that used to come so easily to me. I still hope to one day become a published sci-fi / fantasy author, but in the meantime I am hoping that writing and playing in this community will help reignite the creative fire that has died down inside me. I look forward to writing and role playing with you!

Out of personal experience, I can easily say that the community here definitely brought back some life in me and my wrting that I had lost for more than 2 years. I wasn't really writing very much, but then I came here and... something changed in me. I got my spark back. So, I hope the same luck falls on you!
There are quite a lot of people here who are also working on books and becoming published too. Don't hesitate to use the Smalltalk forum to reach out to that side of the community as well. They have tons of resources, advice, and all that good stuff.
I hope you find what you're looking for on RPR and make a lot of good friends along the way.

It's great to see people getting back into games and writing. You've already joined The Cosmos, a sci-fi group. We're based on the Furcadia client, so I hope to see you throw a character into the server. We can always use the fresh blood.

What exactly is the Furcadia client? I'm still trying to find my way around here.

We've got our own server or 'dream' where RP takes place (although we often bleed over onto discord or RPR as well, hah).

Is that something I would have to get an account to/submit my characters to as well as RPR? I'm not sure how to go about getting started.
