Everyone knows the story of Exousian's fall.
It was quite magnificent, indeed, when Our Goddess Ethereosa stabbed him through the heart with a godsteel sword and threw him like lightning from The Garden Above to the Mortal Plane.
But before she could do that, of course, he created magic, and with it, cursed all of us angels forevermore with the Five Great Sins- what he called his Five Great Gifts- Self-Worship, Desire, Knowledge, Denial of Righteousness, and, worst of all, Curiosity.
Since then, us angels have been born with at least one of these sins staining our heavenly souls, polluting our relationship with Our Goddess Ethereosa.
Magically undead, Exousian now wanders the Earth and has made his throne in The Darkness Below, ruling all except The Garden despite our best efforts.
Humans are sinful. We all know that. But some are called by the siren song of Exousian telling them they are beautiful, perfect, wonderful, just the way they are. But how can that be true? Mortals were born chaotic, as opposed to the divine order that possesses our goddess Ethereosa.
It is our duty to worship her. To fight the lies of Exousian.

I could add more materials, but in the WorldAnvil page I linked to in the post, there's a timeline with a history of the world on it, albeit one under construction!

Personality: I imagine him to be a seemingly relaxed guy, one who clearly follows the path of Exousian. However, he harbors a deep guilt for turning his back on what he was taught to be the "better" path. Every now and again, his sins hit him like a brick wall. Other than his spiritual doubts, he appears to be very casual in everything he does. He tends to try to get along with everyone he meets. While not the smartest of the bunch, his empathetic side is through the roof. In short, he is kind, dry humored, gentle, understanding and confused.

Personality : This once loyal soldier has become cynical since he's been defeated by darkspawn. This hasn't however affected his ideal and some of his old values have been spared.
Mannerisms : draining mana and health from his victims, fighting without hiding
Likes : challengers, ambition, glory
Dislikes : Templars, Paladins, representants of so-called good in general
Background : The Corrupted Knight used to be a commander when the Darkspawn attacked his small town, far in the north. He fought and was killed there, as the reinforcements were delayed and his bataillon got crushed by overwhelming hordes of enemies. This is where the historical truth stops and the legend begins ; some say the darkspawn corruption transformed him over time into what he has become, other say he made a pact with a Demon to stay alive and has been changed by the demons magic. Since then, he travels using caves and long forgotten tunnels, from a forgotten stronghold to another.

Personality: Koras mother runs the worshipping center(I guess the church where they pray to Ethereosa,) and is expected or was expected to play that part as well but she didn't want to pray for someone who did not and would not love her for her true self and secretly follows Exousian
Mannerisms: she is bold and outspoken she secretly taught heself how to sword fight she hates following most rules and is often spotted wearing men's clothing to her mother's dismay
Likes: She loves a good book she is sharp witted and clever due to all of the stories her late father told her
