I've decided to do an apocalypse RP! This won't be the regular slow zombie RP- NO! The disease that ruins the Earth will be called; BE-8. A Biological Enhancement (BE) that was suppose to help the inflicted reach maximum potential in eight ( 8 ) of the eleven major systems in the human body (Circulatory, respiratory, nervous, immune, skeletal, muscular, endocrine, and digestive systems chosen). Which means that those infected with the disease aren't slow or mentally numb like zombies; they are just very strong and hard to kill lunatics. The tests go very wrong fairly quickly. Though the original goal that was trying to be achieved was a success, the add-on was critical. Without any explanation to the public regarding the effects of BE-8 the scientists of Junglebay Corporation go ghost as the world slowing delves into chaos.
Information on effects of the disease on a person;
[Those infected are extremely hard to do any damage to as to their enhanced skeletal and muscular systems.]
[Those infected can never die of any poison or harmful substance or any other virus/disease due to enhanced immune system.]
[Those infected have extraordinary stamina and speed due to enhanced circulatory, respiratory, skeletal, and muscular systems.]
[Those infected are deemed 'insane' - heavy delusions, emotional level very unstable, reckless, and great disregard for life of both self and others.]
[Only known way of death of those infected has been from massive heights plus rapid fire of military grade firearms.]
[Only way of becoming infected is via saliva of the infected. Chance; 1/6.]
[Symptoms take up to a month to show in order of- disorientation, anorexia, insomnia, reduced breathing, unstable emotions, unstable bladder control, cold skin, inability to break own bones or flesh, delusions, and finally insanity.]
Information on RP;
- You can play either someone who is infected or not; as long as you don't kill someone's character without their permission.
- Please try not to be too OP; if you do play as an infected, yes, you will be hard to kill but you're also VERY unstable and loud. Meaning you're easy to spot and hit due to you not being mentally 'intact'. Keep this in mind.
- As much as making it a forum RP is nice...I hope to actually move it to a private group RP for sake of violence/gore and swearing. Speaking of:
- This is a horror/action/adventure type of RP. If you're sensitive to either of those topics I highly suggest you to find another RP. It's not because there's anything against you, it just makes things easier.
- This RP is settled in somewhere in Northern hemisphere to make the weather a bit more difficult. ^-^ For plot.
- Unless your character is able, you can't have military grade weapons unless luck strikes you.
- Please try to be realistic as well. Not EVERYONE knows how to use a gun or have the knowledge on how to survive with only a book and bottle of water, okay?
- Romance is certainly allowed. No sexual content though please.
- Minimum of three sentences required to actually RP please. >-< I understand that some people aren't used to it or are unable to due to their own reasons, but it's very hard to enjoy an RP when you feel like the person you're RPing with seems uninterested.
- We all have lives. We can't all be active at every single minute of the day. For this RP please be active at least once every two days. If you're going to be gone for longer than that then please say so and give something solitary for your character to be 'doing' while you're gone. (ex. James went off to sleep their exhaustion away.)
- At the beginning, please only have one character. If not enough people join after a while then I'll say when and roughly how many new characters can be added; it just adds more realism to it I suppose. It's also easier when you only have one to look after.
...I believe that's it concerning the rules/backstory of RP. Now I want to also hold a small vote once a number of people are accepted- so when you share information on your character below, please also state if you want it to be in forums or private group. Once...maybe five or six people (not entirely sure on limit of how many people) are joining then it'll be highest number wins!
If it really upsets people depending on the choice that wins- then I'll probably do two places for the RP. One in forums and one in private. You can only be in one. You can't switch from those two either- wayyyy too confusing.

More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.

Here’s my character’s survivial info really quick : She has been living on the roof of her brother’s apartment building with a camping set ever since her brother’s apartment was raided by a group of survivors about a year ago. The building is only three stories tall and a tree with a treehouse in it is Mia’s escape route to get supplies.
She has no knowledge in guns or bombs, but she taught herself to throw knives about three years ago.
She is stealthy and will avoid fighting if possible.
She is familiar with trying to survive by stealing because she was homeless for a number of years.

She has no skills in driving, and no experience with firearms, though in her opinion, "it can't be THAT difficult to shoot someone if you need to". A fast runner, with decent self-defense skills. She prefers to avoid combat, but will fight if necessary. She also has slightly-past-basic knowledge of First Aid.

Nowadays resorts to sneaking around with his combat knife as his ammo is currently depleted.

He was infected a month after the apocalypse seemed imminent when he was bitten by a Freak which is what he calls them. Reiku realized it was him who was infected two days after the infection panicking to live. Reiku before the infection was extremely unathletic, however now was a different story since he is infected.
