New Norse/Viking base Fantasy steampunkish style Community is under construction. If your a Furcadia user this will be a new dream. While this is for Furcadia based role-players, Discord role-play will be allowed. Not a Furcadia user? why not its a free application/client! go check it out.
During development process I'm taking input on what people like, dont like, issues people have had and suggestions on lore and law. The dream is ultimately built off feedback from the role play community to create something stable, enjoyable and balanced. Used to be a fighter in role play but found its not feel received anymore? That is something we are building back into the system to encourage again.
Layout: Design is Mainland coastal cove. Village will be built up rather then out on cliffs and wrap into a narrow canyon. top of cliffs will be accessible fields and farmlands. expansions may include caverns and beaches with special patch work to make them different looking then standard patches
Hierarchy - All leadership roles will be strictly IC and have no impact on dream ownership or admins. There will be a Jarl instead of king/queen. Jarl will be a challengeable position - meaning playable characters and compete to lead the village through traditional challenges of combat. There will be Thanes, Military/adventure/fighter club leader and a Property manager for under Jarl leadership roles that will be "elected" and confirmed by the Jarl. Many job positions for standard taverns and shops will also be available.
Plots will be a healthy mixture of slice of life, power balances for those political types, conspiracy, trades and dream will include discover-able lore instead of a website with paragraph history.
Combat structure will be a unique system designed to balance characters based on character applications (will release more notes on this at a later time) - freeform and prep combat will still be allowed if all parties agree. this will be important as Law structure in the village will be enforced by a gladiator ring/fight pit from a good beating, to first blood, to major wounds and so on based on crimes. still working out a lot of details and working with a second party for construction. More or less its a mixture of paragraph posting and tabletop experience.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.

Combat is expected as part of the storyline but it won't dominate the plot.
