MasterWinter

Hello RPR, Winter here.

So. I've been trying to find ways to motivate myself. And I thought I could do so by creating an OC. After going through several OC's that I have to put on the back burner, I found and started creating an OC that I thought would be good. However. The issue becomes...

What the heck do I make this guy, race/species wise?!

This happens to be one of the most difficult things I run into when creating a character. And yes based on the colors I've used he will be of the ice element. Or rather, I would like for him to be in some way.

It can be 100% fully one thing, it can be 50%-50% of something.

As a heads up: Human OC's are not really my thing. Well. 100% humans that is. Nothing against those who do them, I just dislike 100% human OC's for me to portray.

I'm fairly open to suggestions. Also, I'm more of a predator type of person. Like Wolves, dragons, vamps, lions, tigers, etc. an example. I don't know how much that will or will not help.

If you have any questions for something I've not covered here, please feel free to ask me. Thank you.
He looks like he'd make a really fun planetouched humanoid, like a tiefling or genasi, in my opinion. :) The latter could definitely tie in to the hair colour if he was a water genasi.

A tiefling would definitely cover the predatory aspect, but I believe a genasi could as well, depending on the character's upbringing. As written in the Forgotten Realms wiki, "Many water genasi were also raised by aquatic elves and sometimes demonstrate values similar to those of the race such as freedom or good behavior. Others were raised by sahuagin and became bloodthirsty killers and the difference between water genasi of different upbringings was sometimes compared to the difference between a quiet spring and a raging waterfall."

I hope this gives you some ideas!

I think I need to explore the Forgotten Realms more. I only know of them, due to the Forgotten Cities series, where I have the book called The City of Ravens. I LOVE that book! I just am mad the sequel is a stupid e-book.

Anyways! Umm. I've heard of tiefling's, I have thought to make a tiefling before. Though for some reason it never took off the ground like many OC's of mine. I've not heard of a genasi before, but I will look into it more with the tiefling as well. Thank you for those options. ^-^

Ooh, I haven't read that series before! I'll need to look into it! I love a lot of R. A. Salvatore's earlier works - particularly his Cleric Quintet and Dark Elf trilogy books. :D I've been thinking about rereading the former ones just recently but it would be fun to read something new as well.

And you're very welcome!
