Hi!
I'm slowly becoming more and more interested in astrology. I figured that there most likely are a few people who know a thing or two, so I'd be interested to know what website you use to find your chart(s) and updates about your zodiac sign?
Google shows a ton of websites but I'm not sure which are the most reliable, so I would appreciate some information and help! c:
I'm out of the house at the moment but this site will give you your astrology chart- which signs are your sun, moon and ascendant (your three main signs) as well as signs & planets.

It can get pretty convoluted and calcilating ones own chart is some pretty involved mathematics so this website is pretty awesome because it's also free and people can charge a pretty penny to draw up your chart.

Your main sign, the sun sign, is what most people say is 'their sign' and what most people go by when reading the horoscope column in the newspaper. It is based on your birth day and month. :)
I recommend checking out Molly's Astrology.

It breaks down a lot of the elements of astrology and how to interpret them.

Oh, wow. I typed in my information and it's a lot; I'm not sure if this is what I was looking for, because it seems very complicated (to someone like me who knows close to nothing about astrology, hehe) but with that said, I will definitely look back at it, so thank you! :)

I've searched a few corners of the website and I really like how simple it's worded, thank you!
The site that Demi pointed out is really good and useful, also to explain stuff, and this is another one full of free resources and where you may calculate charts and whatnot. Astrology is a really old practice, and which has evolved a lot in modern times towards a more humanistic, psychological and symbolic approach. Basically, where the old astrologers would talk about good and bad influences and sometimes doom and gloom with a few of the planets (aka Saturn for example) and fixed stars, modern astrologers treat the planets and the stars' influences as more like energies and patterns, which may manifest in very different ways and which may also be channeled usefully if you work with them. This is more like a treasure map for yourself to explore in your path to self-development and personal growth. I like this way of looking at things much better myself.

Now, as with everything more complex, there are multiple schools of thought and interpretations, which is why Astrology has to be somewhat fuzzy. You have to start slow and find your feet, and then grow from there.

The Sun and Moon signs are most important, together with the Ascendant. The Sun sign is said to represent your true self and inner core. However, as the Sun may not always be visible in the sky, so your Sun sign may not shine through always, or start to shine through later in your life. Your Moon sign is very important for your emotional self and needs, and will generally shine through and influence you in visible and invisible ways, much like the Moon. The Ascendant or rising sign is said to be the filter through which you see the world and the world sees you.

Most astrology charts will distinguish twelve houses or areas of life, with several important points, and twelve signs, representing the constellations which have a most powerful influence on us. In Western astrology, they use the constellations as they were seen from Earth more than 2,000 years ago, because the symbolism is more important than the science. In Eastern astrology, also called sidereal, they use them as they are today. Both can be useful and work well, but various people have various preferences. I have a strong preference for sidereal astrology, mostly because I have had a scientific education as a child and also I love Astronomy.

I shall stop here for now, but don't hesitate to PM me if you'd like to know more. :)

I can't begin to tell you how much I needed to read your words, though I didn't know it beforehand. Thank you for your help, it's nice to have some background information because even with just "what is astrology?" there certainly is a lot, so it's not easy to remember all of it.

The website you linked to, is one of those I've checked out (or either it was linked before, I can't remember) and there's so many social things?? Wow!

I really appreciate your help and I'll definitely be contacting you sometime in the future :)
