Sarah Jefferson and Y/C had been friends since freshman year. In freshman year, Sarah was completely different. Bright, bubbly, happy, but that all changed after she was almost burned alive by her father. Her life tipped downwards- she became depressed, got obsessed with fire and burns, and even started smoking.

Now it's senior year, and prom is rapidly approaching. Sarah doesn't plan to go- but maybe Y/C wants to ask her to it? Can they convince her broken spirit... And maybe fix her?

Frederick Mercs (preferrably Fred), a friendly, open and self-esteemed Australian student listed amongst the popular population of the school due to being part of the main soccer team. Young, muscular, handsom and somewhat of a nerd that loves playing video games, watching movies and of course reading books. Unlike his friends, he wasn't used to the life of partying, flirting non-stop and other activities of such. Probably had something to do with the past; Fred was fostered by an American family after his parents had gotten into a miserable car crash and passed away almost a few years from now. Despite the tragic event, Fred always had his best friend, Sarah by his side. She was the cure to his pain and allowed him to feel happy. After Sarah's unfortuate event and personalchange, Fred caaed for his best friend more than ever, never leaving her side and tried his best to always make her smile. Seeing Sarah smile was always worth it to him. With prom coming up and the majority of his friends taking their girlfriends, Fred had no date and only time could tell if he was going to find his special one. Perhaps he'll finally grow a pair to ask the girl he always had a crush on?
