I, don’t need, just want someone I’d be able to talk to? Anyone here a fan of some good ol’ horror stuff? Movies, games, shows, stuff like that. I even have started a little comic called Choker. I may also need some help with that. Or, we could just talk about the genre, or a specific movie, show, etc.
I'm very partial to a good horror film or game (despite getting too scared sometimes to play the latter, haha). <3 I prefer paranormal themed horror honestly because to me it gives the best spooks, but that being said games like Amnesia and Silent Hill are absolutely amazing as well.

I think so far, my favourite films are those in the Conjuring universe (namely those by the same name) - and Insidious was a lot of fun too.

Haven’t really played many horror games. Those two sound good, though. If you like that stuff, just... Stranger Things. Lol. Good mix of sci-fi, horror, and a bit of a paranormal theme. And, that series is wonderful. The one I specifically remember was The Nun. That one actually freaked me out. It freaked the freak who laughs at people who die the most violent of deaths out. Lol. Also...
“He was Insidious! Now he’a Outsidious!” A little joke I saw.
I'm up to date with Stranger Things (Season 1 was still the best though); eagerly awaiting season 3 this year! I hope it returns to the same level of spooks we got in the first season. :)

I enjoyed the clips of the Nun from the Conjuring films, but I've not watched the stand alone film yet. I remember seeing the trailers and not thinking very much of them - I'll have to bring myself to watch the actual film though before I make my mind up on it.

A few people had sayed The Nun wasn’t exactly... good. AKA they said it sucked. We all have different opinions, and mine’s that it was a great movie. A few things could be improved on, at least I think. And, The Conjuring actually kind of spooked me a few times. I’d suggest them both. Also, have you seen any of the Jeepers Creepers movies?
It's a shame, because the character worked so well in the scenes of the Conjuring that it was present in! But it does just seem like a cash grab given how popular the Nun and the Crooked Man were. I'm definitely looking forward to Annabelle 3 and The Conjuring 3 though. <3

I haven't, actually. From what I've heard of them, are they not more like monster horrors? Like I said, I much prefer the paranormal/ spirity-spooky ones so I've not bothered with them.
I'll tell you what I did like though; A Quiet Place. I'd argue it's less scary and more like a thriller, but it's very good!

I loved that movie. I’m going to be honest, I thought the monsters in that were... well, pretty. Lol. First time I heard of the Crooked Man. Stephen King is quite amazing, too. I’m excited to see if there’ll be a movie for Cell, or Dreamcatcher. IT got a movie, The Dark Tower got a movie... maybe more... lol.
I don't know what it is about films like that, but the fear seems to stem from the unknown/ your imagination so it's almost always disappointing when you do see them on screen! I remember feeling that way when I watched Signs for the first time. Super creepy alien film, then when you actually see one at the end... it's a bit of an anti climax! ^^;

The Crooked Man is still TBA, but it's in development currently. I'm less sure about it, because The Nun was a brilliant demon in the films. The Crooked Man in the second one didn't bother me the same way, it was almost gimmicky. Hopefully they'll be able to do something good with it.

I had always hoped for a really good modern film adaptation of Salem's Lot!

There are going to be a few remakes. Even one of The Fly. I’m mostly looking forward to Child’s Play. A fun series in my opinion. And Pet Sematary. I’d say it’s got some supernatural stuff. Signs did disappoint me a bit. But, I did get a bit of a laugh at the footage part. When the alien walked through.
