I think it's about obvious that I'm just copying anime plots at this point. Gotta give Japan credit, they make some pretty good stories.
Just got finished watching the tenth episode of the anime called 'Log Horizon'. It's a really good watch, and it actually inspired me to think of an idea that isn't completely the same. Trust me, I'm trying. At some point, I'll just be making forums for Alternate Universes.

Right, so, for those who haven't seen Log Horizon: Take the anime Sword Art Online, drop the harem aspect to it, give the main character a little more reason to be OP, give the players some more choices when it comes to subclasses, and you got Log Horizon. There's an online game in this anime called Elder Tale, which is the world they're 'trapped' in. I haven't paid enough attention to know if it's a VR game, or some kind of computer game, but what I do know, is that there are over 130,000 people worldwide that have been trapped in the game. Reality has yet to be shown, even towards the end of the first season.

Spoilers ahead, for those that are interested in watching the series itself. It truly is a good watch. If you decide not to watch it, continue reading. If you do decide to watch it, I would suggest watching it before reading on.

As I've said before, the game (that has become reality) begins to appear as a new world, if anything. Instead of using game commands, the players simply do it as if they had the powers, themselves. For example, using magic as an Enchanter is just as easy as chanting the spell. Moving around as a Ninja class appears to be simple enough, as well. Sure, the characters were just normal gamers before, but these skills have changed their lives - for better, and for worse.
At some point, a player dies, but is revived in the nearest town automatically, just like in the game. Besides the magic, the monsters, and automatic revival, the world is still viewed as reality. People take advantage over the revival system, and kill other players outside of any safe zones. Soon enough, smaller cities are becoming popular for the 'bad guys', who take advantage of the People of the Land, also known as NPCs.
NPCs that had direct and simple dialogue have become much more... 'People'. If that makes sense. If you were to talk to an NPC in a video game, they would say what they were programmed to say. They would give you the quests that they were programmed to give you. In this realistic version of a video game, they're actual people. Just, weaker than the players.

I'm pretty sure that's all the information that the anime gives us. If not, I'll come back and edit this post to make sure I didn't leave anything out. But, with that all in mind... It's time to share my slightly-copied idea.

Similar to my older forum post, 'A New World', this roleplay will feature our characters being forced to this world, against their will, without any idea as to why they have been summoned. It will be set in Modern/Medieval Times. What I mean by that is, the world will look similar to Earth; if Earth were abandoned by everyone. There will be cities and buildings, but they will be covered in moss and dust. There will be faint remnants of electricity, however, without any generators in sight.
Our characters will have been brought to this world with the magic/power that we give them. Just to be clear, we will be setting up their classes before we begin the roleplay. The world won't be completely related to an RPG, and we'll be attempting to make it as realistic as possible for our characters.
With that in mind, when someone dies, they are dead. No means of revival. There are no Health Points. If someone is stabbed or has life-threatening damage done to them without a healer, they will eventually die.

Now, let's talk about how I intend to roleplay this.
I prefer one-on-one roleplays completely. I dislike the idea of several other people having to wait on one person to make the next post, so the others are then able to post once more. What's more, I have been ghosted by several people, several times. I'd much rather have that happen to just one person, instead of multiple.
With that in mind, you may either reply to this post if you are interested, or simply send me a Private Message. If you also prefer one-on-one roleplays... Prepare to play as multiple characters. Not just one.
Thank you for reading this, and I hope to hear from you.

Details: paragraphs required, long-term RP partner preferred.

*raises hand* I'm interested and I love how you compared the anime to SAO because I love SAO so it makes sense. I have not seen the anime you speak of, but I am willing to try. I don't know what character I would use.
