Human mind has incredible power, it allows people to visualize thoughts and image within their mind, as if they were real, however sometimes those thoughts get forms and individuality from their host or hosts, they're called Rakstursīg(Characteristics), sometimes they use their individuality to wreak havoc in real world or help their owner/s dealing with their weakness and fight other Rakstursīg. Rakstursīg are sprits invisible to average human unless they are in their mind, They're fuelled by Mental Fortitude or if they're fallen by distress in other people but all can be fought with Mental Fortitude. People who fight them are called Iskhús(Strenght,Power)

Hmm that's a good question. I never played persona although I've seen JJBA so I assume it's similar except stands are hamon representation while Personas are something different. Although it's mix of Catharsis and Bleach in it's first episodes where Ichigo was slaying hollows.
