I notice when I am reading people's character bios or otherwise their own profile that many of them have friends or enemies already. I'm wonderinf if that is due to prior meeting of the characters in other places or did you all just meet on here? I feel all left out of the loop lol!

Mine are all people I know from elsewhere that have subsequently joined the site. Occasionally my characters get friend requests (or enemy requests) from people I don't know, but I generally prefer to hold off on making that connection until the characters have at least RPed a few times.

My friend/enemy lists are all of characters whom are actually considered ICly to be friends/enemies of the character in question. So yes, mostly characters of people I knew before joining the site, and have RPed enough with that there is an actual ICly developed connection, rather than a few coincidental encounters.

Although I've had one or two strangers friend characters of mine, despite the fact that I'm quite sure we've never met, and that I've never actually RPed with the character they friended mine with. I thought it was kind of odd. The characters weren't hidden, so if they were just interested in RP, they could have friended me directly. Or maybe I'm just losing my mind and forgot that we DID RP at some point. Aaaah.

Me and a friend of mine have actually started referring to the site as "Furrebook", and so when two of our characters recently became IC friend, we said that they "friended each other on furrebook" and had a laugh.

Ah, Alright. I haven't role played on a big site in a VERY long time so I don't know many people ^_^;

I've been friending people I don't know. I just see characters I like and send them friend requests. We can then set up a roleplay later where our characters meet and establish the friend or enemy relationship requested.

*scampers off to friend you*

Friending SUCCESS! Now to discuss potential RP.

HAHA, Furrebook. I love it. Yes, we are seeking to do a lot of facebooky things, only mostly with pretend people instead of real people. Hooray pretend people!

In that case, ILU too. <3 <3

My characters are only befriended by characters they know from previous roleplaying. I don't think I'd accept a random friends request for Scars, and I know I wouldn't for Judas. If someone wants to roleplay with me, I'd much rather be PMed than just have a random character I've never seen before send a friend request to my character. Maybe I'm weird.

hey

Agreed, much the same here, in regards to characters.

I do not however, have a problem with random friend requests from one player to another. :D

Hey folks, this thread is from 2010.

I'm going to go ahead and lock it. Please don't make a habit of reviving dead forum threads!
