Backstory:
It seems that my roleplay partners have all gone on an unexpected hiatus. I miss writing a few times every week and back in december, I wrote down some plot ideas for a potential novel.
I have only written half a page, but I already feel a bit stuck. So, to sum everything up, my question is: how do you write filler chapters?

Focus on a detail outside of the realm of the main characters, or rather, give more backstory to a character you may have. If you're doing the first one, try to make sure that the details you place refer to something in future chapters, that way, it's still filler, but with substance.
