Vampires are believed to be nonexistent to most people and are seen as scary bloodthirsty creatures. However that’s not the case, at least for Y/C because he/she believed that they’d meet a vampire one day but what they didn’t know was that one was in their house. Derrick had been out for a while and since he falls under the stereotype that vampires get hurt by the sun he ended up in Y/C’s house for a while and was planning to leave at night until he was discovered by Y/C since he was a bit clumsy.
He didn’t really know much about what happened if he were to be found but he was surely going to find out now.

Magic is rare, but not unheard of. Mundane characters may or may not believe in it. Magical characters may form small and exclusive pockets for study, protection, etc.
Modern
Distant war may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat will likely be summarized, not played out in detail.
Details: Freeform, adjustable length posts, long-term RP partner preferred.
The intro to your plot is interesting. I have a few character's that I would be interested in either adjusting their age or dragging in one of my other characters.
