This is an excerpt of one the few times Lucian has undergone the Change using the full moon. Enjoy. 
The first thing to change was his hands, inch-long claws extending as one in spurts of blood as the bones of his hands snapped, twisted then thickened and became harder than stone. Every other bone followed as well as intense pain, forcing out a blood-curdling roar that echoed across the land. His skin darkened as black fur sprouted from his all over his body, though his chest, belly, palms and muzzle were left bare. His jaws cracked then lengthened to accommodate the fangs growing in place of his human teeth, the splintered remains falling free from his gums & immediately disintegrating upon contact with the earth. His heart stopped then doubled in size as his chest broadened and expanded, the muscle beneath rippling and thickening beneath his skin. His body gained an additional three feet in height, while his ears moved to the top of his head and became pointed, his gold eyes seeming to glow as the light-refractive lens grew within them. As the transformation finished, he raised his lupine head and howled, fierce call of joy and freedom before he rushed off to hunt, his human and beast minds coming together as one; the intelligence of a man combined with the cunning hunting instinct of the wolf to create a deadly killing machine.
