Hi there! So I just made Zun a few hours ago, and had a bunch of fun writing out random species details as I made him up, so it begs the question:

Do any of you have profiles with original species characters?
and if yes:
Do you have any original species information on their page?
Share them! :D

I think it'd be fun to read about everyone else's original species if y'all are willing to share. <3
You already know, Zedai!

But I am thinking of putting up all the info of my original fae species from my book series if you're interested in that?
Friendly directing you towards Voldarian_Empire's profile, as he has the most beautiful sci-fi races <3-<3

No but seriously, they're definetly worth checking out (and asking him about them, he's very passionate and rightfully so)!

Aside from that, I'm working on something myself but I'm not nearly that good at it. I wish to learn how to develop them better so I'm meddling with some original species to get used to it ^w^

All the luck to you with yours, so far it looks great!
I actually made Garnet not too long ago. She was made for a specific rp which ended up shaping her and her species a bit but it was still fun to come up with the random little quirks of physiology and society that help shape a character's personality and views that we often take for granted in more traditional character creation.
Leon (played by EnkeliAgon)

Leon here is an anomaly!

He is of my own custom species! The Dreatathisian!
A carnivorous flower that had outlasted the test of time and evolved into a sentient race of predatory beings!

Hunted to extinction though, Leon remains as a sole survivor due to the intervention of a pesky temporal being! XD
My reputation precedes me XD

Original races is my personally favorite thing to create. I begin nearly all of my characters by working on original species that characters are then born out of. The three examples I have posted on rpr are the Voldarians, the Lumni, and the Vynym.

These certainly do not make up all of the races I currently have, just all of the ones that have made it to rpr in a descriptive format.
RimCaster

I think I do have few 'original races' but they aren't completed since I didn't had time to do them(cough school). Also I like stock/generic fantasy races and I'm not ashamed of using them.

As for other question, no I didn't put them on profile or web yet.
Kuhri Yuna (played by SilentSybil)

The Shaphri is a race I am working on currently. Very first attempt for me honestly. There is a tone of info that I'm fitting in that has yet made it to her profile, but I'm trying to get as many ducks in a row before I start really cracking down on them and writing it out there. They could be used both in sci-fi or medieval time.
Cchaaneh (played by Malachite)

Cchaaneh is a member of my original species, the varsit, which I’m in the early stages of writing a book about. I do have a couple of other original species, but the varsit are by far the most developed. While Cchaaneh themself is not a character in it, I did pour a lot of my notes on the species into a page on Cchaaneh’s RPR profile. Due to some of the subject matter in the book and in the varsit’s own history and culture (particularly their practice of eating people), I don’t get to talk about the varsit a lot, but I am proud of them and love showing them off!
Oh boy.

Not only do I have characters of original species, I have created several. Here they are!

Pantharies
Ixlon
Vulnix
Rendine
Jeweled Drakes
Ahnkine

I get the itch to create again every so often... Sometimes I may need to slow it down. XD
Hm. Once upon a time as a teen, I was working on more alien versions of some common fantasy races. Had a character who was part of a race of people with highly developed color-changing ability. I've got Taryn, who's a Shadeling; sort of a custom type of demon from a setting where I had already established demons to be quite different from what we usually think of. There's Sarí and Kyra, a custom type of elf from a setting that also has other sorts of customized types of elves.

Mm... can't recall others right now.
Hasgramorne (played by Draken901)

I implore you to check out this profile's lexicon, as it has at the very least six. Everything I do I try to make it original. There isn't an ounce of Fandom on any of my characters what so ever in fact.
Kika Kweka (played by Michonne)

so excited!!!

I will gladly share my moon and sun kitsune! It is a hybrid kitsune of humans and heaven kitsunes! They are from their own homeworld called Thra.

You can click on my character profile and then click on moon kitsune on her second page to read more about it! Phone. Traveling. So on and so forth.
The Chupakri (played anonymously)

Taadaaa. Meet The Chupakri, my species that is slowly but surely coming together xD

I cant wait to read through all of yours
Meet the trys'tet, my own take on a flora-based species! They are still a work in progress, but feel free to give them a look! They are a culmination of about 10+ years of work, and they are still evolving!
So, while I've been debating on replying to this because I was arguing with myself whether I should because this is more or less a plug for my world and roleplay group, I'm just gonna bite the bullet and do it anyway.

While the racial designs aren't really anything great or new (aside from perhaps the Zdjętzami), it's the cultures that make them original.
  • The Ãoni (ah-wo-o-nee) are a bird-like species with navy blue to grey and black plumage. They tend to be reclusive, and Ãoni can only leave their colony without being able to return. This is thanks to their fanaticism about their goddess: Ŧ'ţ'ra-'kii (although to the rest of the world she is known as the Goddess of Spring). Despite being a matriarchal religious society, the Ãoni are renowned for being the best midwives and physicians.
  • Humans are, of course, as we are, except with some bonuses such as baldness not really being a thing, and hypermobility in the wrists. The Humans are most known for their mechanical engineering; making clocks, stained glass and crafting automata. Though it should be said that they are amongst the most superstitious of the races.
  • The Khah' are a race known for their beauty, grace, and love of nature. They are best described as half-fox and half-human. Coming from the jungle continent of Uwhang, the Khah' are actually the most populous of all the races, and co-exist with every race whenever or wherever possible in order to share their talents and their compassion. They are known for their talismans (enchantment magic), shipbuilding, brothels and animal care.
  • Z'sa'Ză-'Bäa (sat-z-ah-bah-a) are a dash of feline and human mixed together. They come from the mountains, and live off of trading and bartering. Though they are the only race to not really care about the Gods in any way, they have an ability to form alliances as they are simple folk in regards to not requiring much in order to be satisfied. However, do not mistake the Z'sa'Ză-'Bäa for being thickheaded. They are masters of beasts of burden, architectural craft and engineering.
  • The Ṅkhya'jra (nin-kuh-yah-jee-rah) might be reclusive, as are the Ãoni, but there fight in their blood. Out of all the sentient races to grace Tam'nýer—a', none believe more than the Ṅkhya'jra. As a race, horned & tall, they strive collectively to bring the Gods back to life and restore the world to what it once was with magic thriving. They will stop at nothing to reach their goal, and don't care how many races they have to wipe out in order to do so. The Ṅkhya'jra are also known to be the most proficient race at blood magic.
  • The Sk'älik (sky-ay-lick) as masters of the ocean. They live in varying depths of the sea, and though they are not known for their beauty, are vital to the economy of Tam'nýer—a' as they are the gateway to all the riches the ocean has to offer. If you need rare corals turned to medicine, you will have to consult with one. They also are the dealers of illegal goods, such as highly coveted liqueurs, and actually make the currency that the land dwelling use. The Sk'älik themselves might prefer food, drink or a good story in exchange. The Sk'älik are also known to practice sacrificial magics that most of the world turns its nose up at.
  • The Giyu are a race on the verge of extinction that have been scattered to the wind by the recent war with the Sk'älik. Half octopus, and the tallest race by far, they are rare and powerful. Their body strength is naturally high, and they have a way with taming oceanic animals. Despite being dispersed, and beaten, they are prideful people who stick to the ocean and have the ability to remain on land for a couple hours at a time, giving them some sort of advantage.
  • The Zdjętzami (z-d-yen-cha-me) are probably the most foreign or 'alien' race out of all the ones that occupy Tam'nýer—a'. Resembling moths primarily, the Zdjętzami are separated from all the rest of the world, not out of want or necessity, but simply because their continent is the entire world to them. They follow their own god, Bezăv, who is of shadow, and prepare most of their life to continue their journey into the afterlife, where Bezăv ultimately leads through multiple lives.
My face species that has many species within! For my book series that I am working on after my current book is published.
Len Auphydas Lexta (played by Spiritualeclipse)

I do have one... But there isnt that much detail about them. I have a whole big document for them but its too large to actually put anywhere. I tried putting on my profile but I couldnt save it cause of how long it was-
BURST Codex (played by Lucretire)

I do! In fact, Lexi and Creatia are my flagship characters for two of my main species, the Shikor (or Mythites) and the Denicata respectively.

I do have more races other than those two, but they're in my BURST Archives. (This is not a shameless plug for my worldbuilding project, I swear. I'm not even done with most of it yet.)
