'The Rising of the Shield Hero', a pretty good anime that's popped up around the beginning of this year. I highly suggest watching it, but, I'll still be explaining it as if no one has seen it. The whole plot has good potential... I just want to see it from every point of view.
The original plot is fairly simple, and could end up going several different ways. In this medieval world, a dangerous outbreak of monsters - known as 'Waves' - happens once every month. It's not your typical outbreak of monsters, either. They cover the whole planet. However, it only lasts for one day. For a while, the countries of this planet were able to push back against the Waves, until it began to get a little too out of hand. Four normal dudes from four normal planets were brought to this world, (Against their will) and given Legendary Weapons to then fight against the Waves, as they appear. One Hero was given a Sword, another was given a Bow, the third one was given a Spear, and the fourth Hero received a Shield. According to the history of this planet, the Legendary Weapons are a pretty big deal... At their full potential. Similar to a video game, the Heroes would have to fight monsters to level up their weapons, and themselves.
The world is like a video game, actually. The people are able to 'level up' and 'upgrade their skills'. It's like the stereotypical MMORPG, but the NPCs actually have personalities and families. If it wasn't already video-game-like enough, the currency is bronze, silver and gold coins. There's shopkeepers, as well.
Now, I bet you're wondering what I meant earlier when I said, 'I want to see it from every point of view'. In the show, the story mainly just revolved around the Shield Hero - obviously, since it's the 'Rising of the Shield Hero'. But, I'd like to see this story from all four Heroes, whether they have a Sword, Bow, or a Spear, or something completely different. So... Let's get creative, yeah?

I like to join this, I have a character that will be good with this.
I've just finished this series... And now, I'm desperate to do a roleplay on it. I strongly suggest anyone looking for a new show to watch 'The Rising of the Shield Hero'.
I've seen basically all (All but the first three episodes, but also has some decent knowledge of them) the episodes of the anime, and have some decent knowledge of the manga. I'm pretty interested in seeing how this RP would go...though I would like to create a unique/original hero for this RP if that's okay... I've been thinking of this original hero for a long while, and I think he'll be great for it.
