The title probably sounds silly, but what I'm asking is; Can we only register profiles for our own characters, that we've created ourselves? Or can we also post characters from videogames/other media to RP as them? I read the FAQ and didn't see anything that said it could be an issue other than possible copyrights, but I'm not sure, I guess.

If it isn't advised, is there at least a way I could use a fan-made "Alternate Universe" version of said character?

Thanks for reading, I know it sounds weird but.. I just finished playing The Wolf Among Us and am really sad at the ending and kinda.. want to I guess play around with the characters more?? I think RP would be my best bet of doing that.

Like you said there's nothing against it, So I don't think there's any problem as long as you're not breaking site rules.

You're more than welcome to use fan-made characters so long as you aren't claiming ownership of said universe; I've got tons of fan characters and I've seen plenty of others with their own as well.

It's always your responsibility to ensure that the content you put on the site is yours to use. Certain companies/authors/etc. don't like fan derivatives of their work and don't allow things such as fanfiction, and it's best to respect that. If you end up using copyrighted material and the copyright holder wants it taken down, the mods will have to remove the material and it may lead to consequences for your account.

You're probably good to go, I just recommend checking with the company that holds the trademark/copyright and see if they have any policies on this.
