Hi there! Brand new to RPR, though a friend had told me and talked to me about this site for a while.

I've been text-based RPing and character creating for most of my life. Recently, I had taken a long break from it, but missed the it and making stories and developing of characters. So here I am to dip my toes back into it.

I'm sort of slow on the uptick in the formatting, despite the layout of this site being really easy to figure out. I'm just used to something else, so old habits will be hard to kill. So please forgive any errors or mistakes.

I look forward to seeing where this takes me!

Hello and welcome to RPRepository.
Rogue-Scribe

Welcome! I look forward to where you go here too!

It’s a great to site once you get used to the character templates. I’ve been here a year and am only now working more customisation into dome of my character profiles. If you have a good txt-based format already developed you can go straight to a text page and paste it in. I did that to one and made some tweaks to the formatting and it turned out quite well.

Hi there Somnom, welcome to RPR! As you will no doubt soon see, the community is fun, friendly, welcoming and helpful! If you haven't yet, we recommend browsing the tutorial, it's got a ton of helpful tips and guides for all sorts of different RP-related subjects, from making characters to looking for RP partners--even experienced roleplayers may find things they hadn't thought of, I know I sure did. :) And if you're still not sure about something on the site after checking out the tutorial, feel free to ask questions of the mods and anyone else who offers to help.

If you're hankering for some specific kind of RP, we have an awesome Find RP tool that has a bunch of neat filters and stuff you can use to look for particulars. If you just wanna browse, you can go straight to the Looking For RP forum and see if anything there catches your eye, or even post ideas of your own! :)

Or if you just wanna chat for a bit as you decide what kind of characters you want to make, we have a place for Smalltalk too!

And above all...hope you have fun and stick around a while to make a bunch of RP friends! These people being friendly sure helped me decide to stay, too, when I was new!

Also don't worry, this site is pretty user friendly. If there's anything you're confused about forum wise, or character-building or format-wise, we probably have a guide for it somewhere and can probably be found using the search function. :)

Hey there! Thanks for the warm welcome as well as all the tips and guidance. It can be pretty overwhelming stepping into something new, so people pointing to directions on which way to start is always welcomed and appreciated. Appreciate you!
Hey, welcome to RPR! Hope you have fun here!
Glad I could help ^_^ I have known what it is like to be a newcomer, so I know exactly what you mean. *nods*

By the way, I love the title of the thread. It kinda reminds me of people joking about 'that new car smell' hahah :D

If you wanna sniff to see how new I smell, I'm not gonna say no. ;)
Hahaha...maybe later. Can I take a rain check? lol

Mmm vinegar. Winning combination for sure. However, perhaps not too much. Don't want you to get all soggy when you just got here. ❤

Many warm welcomes and happy vibes your way.

Hummm...good point *Takes a cautious sniff*

Nothing like a nice potato, I guess. ^_^

Probably why there's a potato for every situation.
