I want to preface this by saying that saying this isn't exactly the traditional LF post. I'm not looking for you to make a new character to use a character that you have to fit a scenario. The character I'm looking for is already created and I'm looking for someone to take over him to help me continue the story! I know this won't appeal to everyone. I, personally, love taking over characters so I'm hoping there's others like me and someone finds this dummy interesting enough to try them out!
Another important thing is that you have to be okay with polyamory. Non-monogamy is a big part of the connection between my character and this one. There was drama around it for story reasons (and still can be I guess) but as an actual polyam person, I don't want to be around anyone with negative views on the matter. Thank you for understanding!
I'm looking for someone to take over a character that hasn't been played in a very long time, but I have an itch to interact with once again. Unfortunately, I'm no longer in contact with the person who played them. So, I'm hoping someone out there might be interested in picking up the proverbial mantle. This takes place in an original setting. It's a high-magic, low-technology island kingdom that's constantly at war with another kingdom across the sea. It's somewhat established but I don't mind world building to add or change things! I have a page for it that I can share if you're interested in that.
The character is a human (flexible on this) man, maybe in his thirties. He's a classic smooth-talking womanizer. But unlike the classic smooth-talking womanizer, he was also a highly skilled assassin, master of his own guild. The guild is called The Brotherhood and it's one of the dominate guilds in its city. This character lives a double life. To those who live normal lives, he's a rich art dealer who mingles with nobles and steals their wives away. To those who have dealings in the underworld of the city, he's the cunning masked assassin known as Volpe.
His relationship with my Asayl is... odd. They started as enemies. Asayl was tasked to steal his mask by her guild because of an offense he committed on their territory. She failed and was captured. She was freed with the help a friend but was in a bad spot. Some stuff happened, time passed, but she eventually ran into him again but because of some funky body-swapping shenanigans, he had no way of recognizing her. She took the opportunity to seduce, drug, and capture him. If he wanted his freedom back, he had to become her mentor and teach her to kill. He agreed, but only if she abandoned her life to come with him to his city. There was really weird tension and an even weirder sense of trusting between them after making their arrangement.
And that's about where we originally left off. It was kind of a cliffhanger ending, which sucks! I had some head-canon type stuff about these two but I would really like to actually play them again since I had no idea where the story would have actually gone. Romance was hinted at many times between them but they hadn't actually gotten there. It's not even really necessary.
And because he's not a character of my own creation or knew what the plan was for him, there's a lot of wiggle room for playing him. I have almost the entirety of the original rp (don't worry, it's pg13)! Some of it is missing but the majority is there to give you a good idea of what kind of character he was and what all happened. I can fill in the few gaps that are missing. If you're interested, I have a slightly more detailed summary of their relationship I can I give you! Just PM me and we can go from there c:
I rp freeform, para style. Sometimes I make really long posts, sometimes shorter ones. It can vary. I know I'm not the best typer but I promise I try! Sometimes I have trouble processing large blocks of text. I work more than full time, so I I might not be the fastest on the reply but I can try for once a day. Sometimes I'm really busy or tired and might not be up to posting. But I can promise at least 3 replies in a week, minimum. My goal is one a day.
