This rp is inspired of course off of cyberpunk/Retrowave concepts, and world. Its nothing I want to take too seriously, a rp with over the top action and light hearted adventure, in true 80s fashion. While serious moments are to be expected, I am just letting it be known I wont be crucial on keeping things realistic. The world itself, is a cyberpunk future, set in a future Los Angeles, where everyone's got AI's hooked into their brains, robot parts on their bodies, and greedy corporations control the tide of the city. There is also a dangerous gang of ruffians, called The Midnights, who down this drug that cause them to go berserk and gain enhanced speed and strength, who would serve as the main conflict. I am hoping at least one person is interested in this concept, and the post featured below is only a example of how the rp could be. You dont have to be someone with their arm lobbed off or anything like that, just a small introduction to the world planned. Your eyes flutter a little as you wake up on a mattress on the ground. You where on your way to visit Las Angeles when something went horribly wrong, though you cant exactly remember what happened. You gaze up to see a man standing in the room over a table, his face was obscured behind a Bikers helmet, and he wore a leather jacket and pants. He seemed to be working on something, before he turned around and saw you where waking up.
"Ah hey there...I know you are probably thinking, I was on my way to visit Las Angeles and something went horribly wrong, though you cant exactly remember what happened and then you look up and see me standing here and well you just got questions. Well consider this your luckyish day, because I have some answers."The man in the room grabs a chair and spins it around to you and takes a seat, crossing his legs over, getting comfortable as he spoke."I found you laying in a ally way, your arm is kind of gone."He said pointing to your left arm, which was in fact not in the place it normally was."I say kind of because I am trying to sugar coat it, your arm is like really gone. Maybe going to LA was not such a great idea. For what ever reason you chose to come here, you had a bad run in with those Midnights. You saw them on the news I assume, I would say look it up, but it looks like your Crane Network is offline so you kind of lost connection with the internet...probably that blow you took to the head. Looks like they knocked your implant lose, dont worry it wont kill you...yet. We can fix that dont worry. The Midnights though, are these guys that created a drug called well...the midnight...they aint that creative with the names. Anyways, it gives them some crazy strength and reflexes, makes them some tough guys. Aaaand of course they are not using it to make the world better...they are using it to rip peoples arms off...namely your arm...are you sticking with me? Good."He tells you as he gets up and walks over to a desk in the corner of the room."Well I saw you bleeding out, and all that jazz and thought maybe I should help you out...I dont do that for people often. I just felt like this armless person in the ally could use a little bit of good news. I could also get your arm back if you want...but its not going to come without a price...and by price I mean actual money...I should know almost my whole body is metal and wires, at least you only lost your arm kid...you want my advice, let me get you to one of those fancy cyber clinics, let them give you a brand new arm. I would understand if you dont want to do that, it cost a boat load of moolah, but thats why I recommend you do what I do. pick up some mercenary work to pay it off. There is some good money in doing what others dont wanna do, and most of what others dont wanna do is killing these midnights, so you could be a hero while you do it. Of course that is under the circumstances that you happen to be a pretty good fighter and blah blah, but if you're not tough enough for any of that you could just...I dont know get a desk job or something...be boring...but I can tell just by looking at you you want some fun in your life. You also kind of look like you only got one arm so make your choice. Door is there. Guns are here. Pick your poison."

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Further future, perhaps visit mars or upload your brain
More combat than not. The setting may be at war, and the characters will likely get involved whether or not they seek it out.
