Hello everyone!
Tam’nýer-a’, the lovely fantasy group that I help moderate, has opened its current lore contest to everyone, members or not! This is a fun way to make non-members explore and discover, so I thought that I would post this here as well.
This contest is something that the Staff and I have been toying with for a little bit now, and we’re super excited about it because everyone in the group now and in the future will benefit from this. How? Because this contest is about fleshing out the lore and creating little cultural nuances for in-game interactions.
Still lost?
We’re looking for you to develop something like how we handshake at business meetings or first time interactions. Or how you might wave hello to your neighbor across the way. How about taking advantage of the religion of Tam’nýer-a’ and making a greeting or departure saying for a particular race? Something like how some say “Peace be with you. And also with you” in some churches.
We are wanting all your juicy ideas like this.
What we will be judging on will be how useful it is, how frequently it can be used, the history of it (if you so choose to create one), where it began, or where it can be seen commonly. Also what race is more prone to use it. Is it words and a gesture? Perhaps gestures? Is it really that simple as what we see and hear at face value or is there a spiritualism to it?
Whatever you come up with, we wanna hear it. You can submit as many as you like as well, just please make sure that your idea is fleshed out as much as you want it to be before submitting it.
For submission you can PM either myself or a member of Staff. Whichever makes you feel more comfortable. You can also come to me if you have any questions or concerns about your idea before going gung-ho on it.

With the season change for us here on Earth, as well as Tam’nýer-a’, we thought it was high time for another contest. Please note that you do not need to be a member of the group to take part. But do understand that anything you do submit, if a winner, will be applied to lore. You will be credited, but ultimately it will belong to the group.
