This may be a bit complicated for me... But I'll try to work with this.

Twilight was wandering around his enclosure in Area 51, when he saw a girl. She looked to be about sixteen. 'Why is she here though?' He thought. 'Surely she knows the cage is inhabited?'

Looking back over her shoulder, Maiken walked closer to the cage. She was curious about the dragons and didn't care that she could get in trouble. She did make sure there was no one around, however. Just in case.

Twilight watched the girl from the brush as she came in. He was even more confused. The only time humans came near a dragon was with heavy duty tranquilizer guns, a muzzle, and a myriad of other restraints.

Looking around, Maiken carefully cast her mind out. She was searching and eventually lightly touched the outer ridge of another mind. She immediately pulled back, satisfied she had found the right cage. Not all were inhabited.

He felt the touch against his mind and instinctively put his walls, but it was gone even before he did so. 'So it's one of them. The other experiments. The ones the natural dragons call Dragonborn.' He thought tilting his head. He stealthily climbed a tree.

Maiken cast her gaze around, but was feeling her surroundings more with her mind than her eyes. She did not seek his mind out again, instead searching for any non-sentient creatures, gauging how dangerous or safe the cage could be other than the dragon within.

There was nothing.

Twilight got curious. So he crept down from the tree, tense, and stood in a defensive stance, gauging her reaction.

Maiken did not take notice of him at first, but stilled when she did. She, herself, was clearly wary. Even so, it was clear she carried no obvious weapons and she did not move in a way that indicated a threat.

Twilight's nostrils flared, scenting the air. He relaxed when he smelt no weapons. 'You are curious...' He thought.

Maiken observed the dragon, unsure of what her first action should be. Should she back off a bit? She was certain inching closer would be a bad idea, but she wasn't sure staying still was wise either.

Twilight seemed to have misgivings, but something was telling him to trust this human. He carefully inched closer, ready to spring back at any moment.

Maiken stood still, uncertain. She contemplated reaching out with her mind again, before discarding the idea. It might startled him if he could detect her.

He was eventually in front of her, and she seemed to finally realize how big he was. He was still basically a Hatchling though. Twilight bent his head down and looked her in the eye. She could see his fear, anger, trauma, and hatred, but it was buried beneath curiosity.

She blinked at him slowly, her own eyes holding fear-laced curiosity and something else that wasn't clear enough to be identified. She was unsure if she should speak, if he would understand her.

'Why are you here?' He thought, wishing he could push his thoughts into her mind. 'I know the other experiments are not allowed near us...' He must have unconsciously fulfilled his wish, as her eyes widened. 'Right. You're a psychic. We can communicate, even though it's weak at this moment.'

'They said dragons were dangerous monsters. I didn't quite believe it, since none of the others have been monsters. Only dragons were pushed as such,' she told him, careful of how she delivered her message.

Twilight eyed her for a moment. 'So, you decided to find out for yourself. Well, I wasn't originally a dragon. I was once human. But, the natural dragons they use to transform humans, they're all far beneath our feet.'

Maiken wasn't sure what he meant by that and tilted her head at him. 'Do you have a name?' She asked. 'A name as a dragon, I mean.'
