Hey everyone,
I used to be part of a roleplay group on instagram a very long time ago and decided to see if people still did that kind of thing when I stumbled upon this website. It sounded pretty neat, so here I am! Nice to meet you all!
I'm posting this as the very first thing I do in hopes of making some new friends to show me the ropes, because I honestly have no idea what's going on :') please treat me well!

Hello and welcome! And, anyone is free to correct me, the dice roll thing is to create a dice that generates a random number line throwing a dice for DnD. At least that how I see it. But I'm sure you'll find plenty of people to rp with as everyone I've encountered I'd super friendly!

I've never actually played DnD before, so perhaps I'd better steer clear of that mechanic for now or I might end up confusing myself even more haha. It's great to meet you, and thanks for welcoming me! I'm looking forward to getting back into rp - and hopefully I won't be writing as horribly as my younger self, I still cringe thinking back on it.

The dice roll is completely optional. Some folks like to use it to add some randomness to their games (myself included!) But many ignore it completely, which is totally fine as well!
((Example: Does that NPC guard see my character trying to sneak her way over the castle wall?))

Oh, hey there Hookey and welcome, welcome! It's great to see new people here and I actually didn't know Instagram had RP groups. Woah. If I had an IG account, I'd check that out.
Anyway, as they already told you, the dice is just a random toy here you can use in your RP stories actually! Like I'm in an RP right now and when we get to a part where we need help thinking which direction to take our plot, we'd roll the dice. Example:
There was a crash that echoed in the empty house despite the fact that all of them were accounted for and present in the room. One of them decided to investigate and left the group.
See? It brings a whole lot of fun in your stories!

Ah okay, that's a relief I did some reading up on DnD after someone else mentioned it and it seems a bit complicated :') hopefully it won't take too long for me to get the hang of everything.

Hello Vanderhuge,
I didn't know about the instagram groups either until I was introduced by a friend. Of course, it was when we were all kids and it was a bit of a hot mess - I'm not even sure if the community still exists.
