Wilhelmina (played anonymously)

(OOC Note: Since Mina the fabulous host is a vampire, this scene is taking place at night.)
Mina knew how to throw a party, especially in the modern world where the little whisperings of something fun could easily spread like wildfire through social media. The right buzzwords used, she knew that there would be more than enough people stopping by for a drink or two just to check out the scene. She knew that it technically wasn’t Halloween yet, but there was something about the season that she enjoyed very much and to her, it didn’t matter how long people stayed or if they left quickly. The only requirement she had was that people wear a costume in order to attend the free party.

ZtHUCPU.jpg

The mansion that her party was at wasn’t technically her house, but no one needed to know that. It was in a fancier neighborhood, the type where all the houses had fencing and gates to keep riff-raff off the sprawling and far too manicured lawn. The house itself was two stories; modest for the area, but had a really obnoxiously long driveway that seemed far to pristine with it circling around a water fountain. The front doors were wide open, the main entryway and large rooms just off the entrance were appropriately decorated with kitschy Halloween themed items. Somewhere, speakers were playing some spooky noises to lend to the mood.

Tables had copious amounts of Halloween-ish foods, such as hotdogs wrapped in pastry strips to look like mummies, or cookies that looked like fingers. Several large basins filled with ice held bottled beverages were placed around the house, but there were also various punch bowls with different cocktails scattered on tables too - little cards explaining each beside them with stacks of plastic cups.

ZqM4prl.jpgThe hostess herself was wearing a World War II nurse’s uniform. Even though it wasn’t 100% accurate to her memories and what she actually wore during that time, t was close enough for people to identify her with the red cross on her chest and her sleeve. The shoes she wore weren't right either, but a close enough replica that didn't make her twitch over the inaccuracy of it. She lacked a nurse's cap, opting to go without and leaving her short cropped hair to hang loosely as it wished.

Mina was happy because she didn’t have to hide her fangs (not that she ever really did anyway, but she had gotten some weird questioning), she didn’t have to pretend she was a human just to go under the radar. It was one of the few times where she could say she was a vampiric nurse and people would just go along with it.

Already, there were a handful of costumed people at the party, milling about and chatting with one another. Some had beverages in their hands, but never seemed to actually drink them, holding them as props instead.

On the invitation that went around, there was a note that said find the hostess in an old time nurse’s costume to get a treat. There was also the promise that someone who had the best costume would get the grand prize, though there was no indication on what it would actually be.

All in all, Mina was happy and couldn't wait to see how things would pan out.
Vera (played anonymously)

Vera loved candy, LOVED IT! It was perhaps on the top of her list of favorite things, above spinning until she fell down and pretty silk ribbons. She loved it more than milk, more than honey, and it was just one of those things that proved to the little person that humans couldn’t be evil, because they had created it! Nobody who could create something so wonderful could be bad. Suffice to say, her enamored infatuation with sugar meant only that she would strive to collect it when offered, especially for free.

This led her to the door of the fabulous house which seemed very much right out of a book that Vera had never bothered to read. Her bright pink Glenda the Good Witch dress and little wire frame fairy wings cheap in comparison the the home as they rustled and protested every move announcing their plastic nature to the world. But Vera didn’t care, she wanted candy, sweets, fun, and that was what was promised.

Before she even moved through the wide open doors she could hear the soft music playing in the air, all music was good music! All music was magic. Stepping into the home she smiled, invited and happy, not even bothering to wipe her bare feet as she traveled ever closer to the source of the savory and saccharine scents which emanated from the overladen tables.

A few cookies disguised like fingers later, Vera’s cheeks filled with yummy treats, she remembered that finding a nurse would get her a special something. Now, being a creature who could never turn down a mystery or riddle, she set off through the house to try to find the hostess and whatever special something was in store, calling out as she did so, “NURSE! MISS NURSE! WHERE ARE YOU?” Her sweet childlike voice traveling with the malodorous accent of her Icelandic home.

Hearing a child-like voice, one that was so melodic and pleasing to the ears, Mina's words died in her mouth as her attention was pulled away. Even when it was shouting and loud to be heard over the noise, it was so melodic. The vampire had to move away from her current company, stepping around another few people before she saw the pink cotton-candy dream. She didn't care that the wings for her looked cheap, she didn't care that the costume might've been something slapped together last minute. All she cared about was there was a short and cute person yelling for her.

"Oh, hello!" she said with a wide smile on her lips that were painted red with lipstick, her voice having a fairly thick Belgian accent. "You are so, so, sooooo cute and adorable!"

Mina meant every word she said. Sure, she could've lied and does so easily about a lot of things in her life. "Okay, so you've found me, you get..." she said as she dug into the leather medic bag that was strapped across her chest and resting at one of her hips. Pulling out a full sized candy bar, she held it out to Vera, "...this! But is not only candy around. I'm not talking about just the food out, no. There is a big bag of candy hidden in this place, yeah? You can go look to find it!"

The smell of Vera was nearly irresistible, but the vampire was on good behavior tonight. No eating party guests. It was a stupid rule, but one she had placed on herself and she really disliked breaking her own rules sometimes. "So you go find and let me know if you get it, okay, Fräulein?" Mina really didn't want to send her away so quickly, but it was so tempting to take a bite and take a taste. This small one, she was her candy...
The lean Russian roamed the mansion in all black, those heavy footfalls being the only sound that had come from the brooding demon. He wore a sleek gothic swallow tail jacket, trousers, worn leather boots, and finished the masquerade look with a black mask framing that abyssal gaze of his. Tucked delicately beneath an arm was a sketchpad. Was he here for more than just the promise of candy or drinks? Yes, yes he was. He was here to find a muse to break the lengthy cold streak he'd had regarding his art.

Curious gaze flicked towards Mina and the youth when he heard all the noise. So that was the nurse the invite had mentioned. Duly noted. Her outfit got to him a little more than it should have, only because the creature had been in a war or two back in that time era himself. It brought forth memories he wasn't prepared for but he shoved them away for now. What was that accent? She wasn't from around here either, was she? Dimitri chuckled a little as he caught the mention of a big bag of candy hidden somewhere. Was she serious? That would no doubt send the pink little thing into a fritz.

After a few moments, when he deemed it was safe to intrude without being rude, Mr. Smoak made his way over to the nurse. "Found you," he spoke up playfully in a rich baritone voice, dripping with that Russian accent of his, "Ah treat, I believe, eez owed." A warm grin was given to the femme. He could sense that she wasn't quite 'human'. It came in the form of electric tingles down his arms, creating goosebumps along flesh. He could never in a million years know the specifics, but oh, he spotted those fangs a mile away so he had an educated hunch. "Lovely party," he complimented, that shark-like gaze glancing around them at said party before his eyes returned to hers. He would be far less tempting than a little girl, his own blood defiled by soot. It would be likened to licking an ashtray if a vampire attempted to drink it.
Vera (played anonymously)

There was something just so inviting about the Nurse’s smile. So genuine how could Vera not be drawn to it, how could she not love it? Her own grew ever more, impossibly broadened to the point of being a touch uncanny valley. Perhaps more cheerful and friendly than any person had the right to be.

“Da nurse she is no nice and pretty!” Slender little fingers closed around her prize and held it to her fluffy pink encrusted chest, enraptured by the beautiful nurse with a funny way of talking. Then again, everyone but her family had a funny way of talking. “THANK YOU!” Her voice was a touch too loud, too abrupt, but still pleasantly harmonious and like an old balloon half filled with helium she bounced from foot to foot, a backlog of energy trapped within the little person. Hanging on every word of the hidden treasure Vera’s eyes grew wide, her excess of energy stilling. Had she been a star now would be the moment of implosion, instead she stayed still as a stone for a rough count to three before emitting a sound that could only be compared to uncut childlike glee.

“HIDDEN TREASURE!!!! YESYESYESYESYESYESYEEEEEEEES!” Again, her words were far too loud, and she didn’t stop for breath instead she took off deeper into the house, almost bumping into the man in a suave costume which likely wasn’t anything Vera could guess at. Her closet guess would be Jack jumping the candlestick, but really if it was obvious to others, it wasn’t to the little fae.

“Excuse me, bye!” She called, not really stopping as she brushed past the lean man. “Bye!” She repeated, as if forgetting she’d just said the words in her excitement to scour the house from top to bottom. First step, all the bathrooms, who wouldn’t hide candy in the bathrooms?

When Vera gave Mina compliments, her smile was wide, a laughter coming from her. The cotton-candy girl was as endearingly sweet as she looked. But when the candy bar was taken and the shout was so close to her own ears, she couldn't help the small flinch on her features.

"Yes, yes, you're welcome, Fräulein," she said. A hand lifted a finger to her ear, plugging and wiggling it slightly as if that could help the ringing from even more shouting that came from the delicious smelling snack party guest as the short one made known her excitement about treasure. Was candy actually that important to some people? It seemed to be highly important to Vera, so she hoped she was the one who found the secret stash.

Turning her attention to Dimitri after he approached she gave him a smile and asked in her accented voice, "Is it really finding if I am standing in plain sight?" There was a laugh from her, her attention snapping towards Vera as the pink dream as she sang out departing words. She couldn't help it, that step after the small one as if she were going to give chase, her predatory instincts on high due to the tantalizing smell, but she managed to stop herself and called out instead, "Good luck!" Unfortunately, the winged one wouldn't find the big bag of candy in any of the bathrooms as it was in a place that was a touch more populated.

Hazel eyes looked back to Dimitri as a sweet smile returned to her lips, looking him over as she took a step closer, seeming to scrutinize his clothing. A hand came up to rub at her chin as she made a show of considering it, moving closer and closer to him still until she was close enough to whisper to him, for only him to hear, "Is it actually a costume if it's your own clothing from the past..." She paused to take a gentle sniffing inhale through her nose before adding, "...comrade?" While she didn't want to eat him, she was still curious about him and his scent and what he could be.

Taking a step back, Mina had a fit of laughter, her entire face wrinkling up with amusement before she calmed down slightly and sighed gently. "Thank you for compliment on the party," she said with a wink. "So, what is treat for you? Are you actually wanting a full sized candy bar? You want same treatment I gave the pink one? I could pinch your cheeks, coo about how adorable you look in your costume. Or write you a love note...." Her chin gestured towards the sketchpad that the soot demon had under his arm.
Oh yes, he'd been correct in assuming the oncoming 'fritz' from the small one. His brows rose in amusement, flinching a bit himself from the assault on his eardrums from just being in the general area. He could only imagine how Mina must feel, having being that much closer to the source of the squeals. He chuckled lightly when the innocent little thing nearly plowed into him, but shook his head at her with a smile and an echoed, "Bye." Annnd she was gone. His attention now belonged to Mina, and he hadn't missed the step she'd taken in Vera's direction. He knew that predatory instinct well, and didn't comment on it. A knowing smirk flickered briefly across his lips, fleeting just as fast as it came. "Hmm," he said thoughtfully, regarding the question of plain sight, "Perhaps not. Would you rather go hide, and have me hunt you properly?" The question was delivered playfully, despite the way that gaze seemed to darken just a little at the thought.

That dark gaze watched as she moved closer, and the man didn't move an inch; allowing for the closeness that he was sure would make any mortal squirm. Her whispered question had a devilish grin slowly sweeping over his lips, "When zey aren't aware of zat? Yes." A subtle wink had been given at the breath that was taken in before that last word she'd whispered. It had been a long time since anyone had called him that.

He smiled again warmly, though it never reached those eyes, just watching her little fit of laughter. He nodded when she thanked him for the compliment. "Ha!" it was his turn to let those deep laughs rip past his lips at her suggestion of pinching his cheeks. "I zink I would prefer love note, to rest of zat," he cackled, offering his sketchpad to her. If she had taken the time to skim any of the sketches in said book, she'd have found quite a few random party guests as well as one he'd started of what looked like a certain nurse. It was still obviously not entirely finished, however. "My name eez Dimitri Smoak," he offered, since he'd not introduced himself to the hostess yet, "And you?"
Stop number three. She had come stumbling out of one of the upstairs bathrooms. It was far from a dignified entrance, but she hoped that someone would just assume that she had been having a wardrobe malfunction, or perhaps a little too much punch in her punch. It was a swanky house-- she could tell that immediately. The cost of the curtains alone could have probably fed her for an entire year.

Luckily for her, there was a party going on. Open or invite required, it wouldn't matter. No one would be able to tell who she was or wasn't beneath her mask, as long as she played it smart.

She had elected to just stick with the deerhide and skull, speaking of, but was regretting it somewhat now. The antlers kept tangling in the fake spider webs strewn about the place, and she nearly lost the thing on a bat decoration coming down the stairs.

Her gaze flitted uncertainly across the room behind the dark holes of the buck skull's eyes as she paused at the base of the stairs. This whole affair was ridiculous. She felt ridiculous. Another, more merry soul might have been delighted with the trick-or-treak-esque task she had been assigned, but frankly, Krepta just wanted to get this over and go home to snooze in front of the fire.

She blew out an irritated breath between her lips and spun in a slow circle. Now where were they keeping the candy?

There was a man and a woman conversing in one corner of the room. From the way she held herself, she looked important. Maybe the host? Deciding to just take the bullet, she made her way over.

"Heeeey, it's Halloween," she said, trying to sound cheerful. "So, ah, where are the sweets, Sweets?" She had heard her uncle use that term a few times. It sounded dated, like that costume. She had thought it appropriate. Themed? No. No she never wanted to say that again. Ugh. She needed a drink. This was too much socializing.
Vera (played anonymously)

“Bathroom, bathroom, bathroom...” The whispered words were repeated over and over as Vera seemed to try to remind herself just exactly what it was she needed to do. She managed a bit of luck as someone came stumbling out of one to leave it empty. The little person offering up a friendly wave as they passed and taking a look at her deer skull costume which was, in Vera’s opinion, quite spooky.

“Hi, Bye!” Vera called and she ducked in the room before any could take it and searched from top to bottom, even peeking into the drain quickly. Nope, nothing, which was for the best because then the candy would be sticky. Maybe even gooy, which was really only good when it was meant to be.

Banging on the door announced her time was up, muffled calls that others had to use the facilities too. “OKAY!” She called back, opening the door and heading back downstairs to search the kitchen, leaving whoever entered the bathroom next to find a mess of knocked over shampoo, soap and lotion bottles along with whatever was found under the sink scattered across the floor. There was no time to be clean, not when she was on the hunt.

Passing the pretty nurse and man in black, along with spooky deer skull, Vera made sure they all knew she hadn’t found anything yet with another call of “HIIIIIIDDEN TREASURE!” as she darted down the hall and into the kitchen shortly followed by the sounds of clanging pots and pans.

Mina made a noise in her throat, one of contemplation as Dimitri asked if she would like to hide, "I didn't know your type would hunt mine. But if you'd like a game of hide and hunt, as the hostess, would be rude if I didn't give guest what he wanted." She gave him a wink before taking the sketchpad that was offered out to her, "Okay. Your treat will be love note." Reaching into a pocket of the leather bag that held the candies, she pulled out a rather expensive and fancy looking fountain pen.

Trying to balance the book in one hand, holding the pen in the other, she opened the cover and started to flip through the pages. The vampiric nurse made 'ooo' and 'aahh' noises as she looked through the sketches, lifting her gaze to him as she said, "You're good at this. Who would've thought someone who hunts and smells like an old fire would be a talented artist?"

When he asked for her name, she used her teeth to pull the cap off the pen and spat it towards the side to let it skitter across the marble floor. As he offered his name and asked for her own, she glanced at him and gave him a coy smile, starting to write and read aloud instead of giving him her own name, "Dearest Dimitri Smoak..." But she spelled his last name 'Smoke' as she didn't know any better. There was a pause in her writing as she commented, "That's a good name. I like it." She said it again, lowering her voice a touch and squinting her eyes a bit, "Dimitri. Smoak."

Her eyes lifted to watch as her pink dream zipped by, screaming about the candy treasure trove. She couldn't help the steps she took away from Dimitri, going after Vera for a moment before she forced herself to stop. Her entire body tensed, lips pursing slightly as she huffed out a breath. She called out instead, "You're doing so well, Fräulein! I'm sure you will find what you seek!" It was in the kitchen, where caterers were still working to ensure that there would be enough food and drinks for the guests, that the candy was hidden. It was in a massive stock pot that was probably half the size of Vera. And if she wanted to take the whole pot, no one would stop her.

Mina retreated a few steps back towards Dimitri, "Apologies, I will make your love note worth it, I promise." But just as she was putting her pen back to the paper, Krepta had approached and she couldn't help give the woman an odd look. "Correction, is Halloween season, not quite Halloween yet," she said in her Belgian accented voice. Giving her a smile, she said, "You want sweets from a Sweet? Okay. I can give." Placing the pen in her mouth, she held it with her front teeth, letting her fangs be shown easily as she dug into the field medic bag and pulled out a full sized candy bar. Holding it out to her, the vampiric nurse mumbled around the pen, "Here you go. I hope you're not allergic to peanuts. Also, please try not to scratch the walls with your antlers, yes? Yes. Please and thank you." Once the candy bar was taken, she used her hand to take out the pen into her grip. Looking to Krepta, she gestured with the pen towards the tables, "Eat, drink, be merry if you wish. I promised it's not poisoned."

Her hazel eyes went back to Dimitri, "Okay. Where were we?" Her pen went back to the paper as she read aloud what she wrote, her handwriting was pretty, clean, and neat, but clearly old fashioned, "You are a very handsome gentleman. Since I first saw you, I knew you would make my heart flutter with excitement. It pains me to know we may be apart for so long. Rest assured, I shall think of you every day, wishing for you more than you could possibly know. Until we are reunited. Looooooove, Mina." In the space next to her name, she pressed a kiss to the page, leaving a red imprint of her lips. She had given him her name in a letter that sounded like it was going to someone being sent off to war, something to keep their spirits up.

It was at that moment that she regretted carelessly tossing away the pen's cap. She offered the book back to Dimitri, keeping it open so he could admire her letter.
Krepta leaned back as the woman flashed fang. Those looked pretty real. "I guess?" she answered, a little taken aback. "It's close enough, right?" Okay, well then. Happy Halloween Season, I guess, she thought with a twinge of annoyance. And what was that little warning about the antlers? Did she think she was some kind of bumbling idiot banging her head on walls? She almost had half a mind to do exactly that on her way out, leave a little token of her affection behind.

But she was supposed to be playing the diplomat tonight. Mostly.

Krepta made a face beneath the skull and reached for the candy bar, dreading having to come up with an excuse to ask to search through the rest of the bag somehow. To her surprise, however, there was a faint tug at her wrist where a tiny bead was attached to a thin leather thong. She broke out into a wide grin. Finally! A little luck!

"Well, swingin' Not-Quite-Halloween party all the same. Thanks." Somehow her tone lacked the enthusiasm those words usually implied. She turned away, stuffing the bar into her bag and hurried away back up the stairs without waiting for a reply. She didn't want to impose on the McMansion household any longer than she had to.

She needed a keyhole and some privacy, and then hopefully she could finally go home for the night.
"My kind hunts whomever catches attention. We don't play favorites," he smirked playfully, adding however as he looked around them at the crowd of guests, "Seem busy, maybe anozer time?" He smiled when she took the sketchpad and tugged out her fancy pen. He couldn't help but wonder what kind of love note you'd right to a complete stranger, but it was her suggestion, so surely she had something in mind. "No one," he cackled a little at the compliment and question of who'd have known of his artistic talent, "Perhaps am just rare breed?"

Brows quirked when she spat the pen lid and he watched as it skittered across the floor, only turning his eyes back when she said his name rather than giving her own. The misspelling of his name wasn't addressed, because it wasn't the first time it'd happened. Who could have known it was the same word with unique spelling without seeing it on paper? "Eez zat right?" he laughed, those canines catching his lower lip in amusement. He should interact with vampires more often. This lady was interesting herself.

He chuckled softly with another subtle flinch when the little pink femme shot by again with her very loud, but admittedly cute, squeal for treasure. Oh dear, it was hard to miss the sounds of the pots and pans and he couldn't help but feel a little bad for the staff in there. "I've faith she will find zat treasure," he grinned when Mina took those steps back towards him after starting to give chase again. "Take your time," he gave a gentle shrug. He had nothing else to do or see, all the time in the world at the moment. That abyssal gaze flicked to Krepta when she approached as well but he'd remained silent through the exchange, apart from giving the new arrival one of those smiles of his for acknowledgement.

His gaze followed Krepta briefly, flicking back to hazel when she'd spoken again. "You were pouring your heart out," he teased with a laugh before his eyes moved back to the paper, watching her hand as it danced over it with said pen. Apart for so long? The more she'd written, the faster the demon's pulse sped up. More memories of the war flashed through his head like heat lightening. Until we are reunited... He chuckled when she kissed the page. What would a love note be if not sealed with a kiss, yes? "Zank you," he grinned, taking the book back when she offered it, "Will cherish forever." A flick of his wrist brought her cap that was resting beneath a nearby table skidding back across the floor and into his hand in a rather graceful little flourish of a motion.

"I zink you dropped zis," he winked, offering it out to her, "Would hate for fancy pen to dry out. Was pleasure meeting you.. Mina." Her name had danced from his lips far sweeter than any of the words he'd said thus far. With that, the soot demon turned to leave. Unless she halted his departure, he'd go find himself a nice drink and a quiet place to finish his sketch of her.

Mina looked at Krepta with a bizarre expression on her face, hearing the emotionless words that was spoken to her, the lack of sincerity of appreciation. While she may be a vampire who was a bit unbalanced sometimes, she still had feelings. And as the antler wearing woman retreated without waiting for her to say anything to reply, she could only lift her upper lip in a slight sneer. "Okay, bye bye now," she muttered bitterly under her breath.

This had given Dimitri enough time to take his book back and look over the letter, even though she read it aloud as she had wrote it. Shaking her head slightly, she turned her attention to more delightful company, to someone who didn't think she was work to deal with. "Really? Cherish forever?" the vampiric nurse questioned with a wide smile on her lips. "I heard that's a long time, you know. I'd be disappointed if you told me that and then forgot it by next week. Maybe I check up on you in future and see if you actually still cherish it."

There was another 'ooooo' from her as Dimitri used some sort of magic to retrieve her pen's cap without leaving her side. "Fancy trick," Mina said with admiration in her voice. Reaching out to take the cap, she let her cold fingers dance along his in a gentle caress as she took it from his. "Many thanks, Mister Smoak," she nearly purred out to him before she was laughing in amusement. Capping her pen and ensuring that it clicked into placed, she was laughing again as he said her name is such a way, her nose wrinkling up slightly in amusement.

As he turned to leave her company, she made a small noise before speaking to keep him from fully walking off, "Ah, Mister Smoak. I think you need one more thing, to help with your costume." Taking a few steps towards him, she rose onto the tips of her toes in an attempt to press a kiss to his cheek, hoping to leave a bright red imprint of her lips like the one on his love letter if he allowed it.
When questioned about cherishing it forever, he chuckled. "Et eez, very long time," he agreed with a sparkle of those dark eyes as he added, "Can't forget you." The grin that swept over his lips when she mentioned checking up on him in a week to be sure was dripping with amusement. "Do eet," he laughed, "I work at bar downtown, bartender. Ze Crimson Lotus."

The coldness of her fingers against his own rather heated ones sent little trickles of chills creeping down his arms hauntingly. "I've many treeks," he cackled softly, his cheeks threatening to actually color themselves a soft rose at the way she'd purred his name. "Anyzing for lovely nurse," the Russian teased playfully. He wrinkled his own nose in return briefly with a laugh of his own.

He slammed the figurative breaks when she'd said his name again, turning curiously. "Need somezing to help costume?" he blinked in confusion but held still as she leaned up to leave her ruby red mark on his cheek. The demon grinned sheepishly, his cheeks finally having turned that shade of soft rose they threatened moments ago. "Zank you," he laughed, that abyssal gaze locking on hazel and flickering with amusement, "Heaven forbid costume incomplete. What would ever do wizout you?"

A thought suddenly hit him and he held up his finger as if signaling her to wait before departing. He tugged a piece of paper from his sketchpad before tucking it back under his arm and going about folding the paper quickly with nimble fingers. After a few moments, he'd successfully created a small little flower. With that, he aimed to sweep her hair behind her ear and tuck said flower there as well had she not protested. "Zere, treat from me," he'd smile brightly.

Mina couldn't help the mischievous glint that was forming in her eyes, enjoying the game that she was playing with Dimitri. Oh, but it was so much more delightful that he was also playing in return. It was never fun when people were such sticklers when it came to her antics. Seeing that blush that she drew forth in his cheeks, she couldn't help raising a hand, using two fingers to stroke along his cheekbone, as if she were petting that blush. Taking a step away from him, she clasped her hands behind her back and gave a large shrug of shoulder, "Without me? You'd not be here, pouring drinks for people where you work at fancy sounding bar, not getting a love letter treat or a kiss on cheek. Sounds boring, if you ask me."

It was her turn to attempt to depart, but the signaling of Dimitri's finger had her stay where she was. Mina's hazel eyes watched as he tugged the page from his sketchpad, her head tilting curiously as she watched him toy with the piece of paper. Closing the space between them with a step or two, she glanced between his face and his hands, watching as he effortlessly made a little flower. A delighted laugh came from her, turning her head to allow him easier access to the side of her head as he tucked her dark locks behind an ear and placed the paper flower there.

"Is a lovely treat, better than real flower because it will last longer," she said. There was no blush to her cheeks, either because she was a bold person or because vampires had poor circulation and thus blushing took a lot of effort she didn't want to use. "You were right, Mister Smoak, when you said you have many tricks...and you show me treats. A man of many talents, you might have a special admirer now," she teased with a wink. "I cannot promise I will cherish flower forever because I cannot promise things I don't know," Mina shrugged her shoulders again. "But I will cherish as long as it lasts."

There was a call of several college-aged gals, all dressed as some sort of semblance of cats, trying to get Mina's attention as they had 'found' her and wanted their treats. She looked towards them before looking back to Dimitri, starting to walk backwards. "Enjoy party, yes? I will find you sometime, if not tonight again, then in future. And if you miss me, read note," she said with a wink. She blew a kiss to him with her hand, twinkling her fingers at him before turning around to hand out full sized candy bars to the trio, complimenting them on the way they painted whiskers onto their faces.
Of course the demon played along, it wasn't often anyone even attempted such a game with him. Mina had definitely fully entertained this particular guest with her antics and teasing. Dimitri held still as a statue as her fingers stroked his cheek, that shark like gaze seeming to soften with quiet curiosity if only a tiny bit for a fraction of a second, before going back to normal when she'd stepped away again. "Very boring, indeed," he agreed, the laughter pouring easily from his lips at how close she'd been with her guess. He no doubt would be there at the bar, pouring drinks, like always. It was nice to have a change of pace.

He gave her a warm smile when she laughed, having delicately placed said flower with much ease when she'd turned her head for him. "Glad you like eet," he grinned, "And yes, eet will last much, much longer." He tilted his head slightly when she'd said he was right, a smile dancing over his lips as he took in the rest of the sentence. "Eez zat right?" he laughed, a little bit flattered at the compliment of having many talents as well as the note that he might have an admirer. "Ze admiration might be mutual," he winked playfully in return, nodding at the next bit regarding the flower, "Zat eez good enough for me."

His gaze flicked to the group of girls dressed as cats and he chuckled. His eyes met Mina's gaze when she looked back at him and he smiled, watching as she walked backwards. "I look forward to eet," he grinned, another soft laugh leaving him at the kiss she'd blown. "Until next time," he called out with a light wave of his own before he finally turned and went to find that drink.

In the kitchen Vera started with the flour and sugar boxes, looking inside the white powder to find what she was looking for, no luck, not that she wanted flour dusted sweets. Then she moved to the pantry where a can of refried beans was left dented and forgotten on the tile floor. She even climbed the shelf to look on the tippy top, but there was no luck, only a mousetrap that had yet to find any mice.

Her next task was to crawl entirely into the kitchen island cabinets, much to the dismay of the catering staff. Pushing aside pots and pans to make room for herself where she pretended she was in a cave and looking for pirate gold. “X marks the spot.” She mumbled into a frying pan with a touch of excitement. She gave a large crock-pot a shove and found it was heavier than it should have been. “Oh! Oh! X really does mark the spot me'matey!” She exclaimed grabbing the pot and pulling off the lid, there in the dark of the cupboard lay her treasure, heaping piles of saccharine sweetness just begging to be consumed. Now, she just had to figure out how to take it with her.

Mina glanced over her shoulder, watching where Dimitri went, keeping a note of where he went so that she could observe him from afar. A small smile was on her lips, his words and his accent ringing in her mind. She made a vow to seek him out later. He did give her the name of the bar he worked at after all. Once she was done giving the cat-ladies their full sized treats, she moved off into the kitchen to check on Vera.

"Hellooooo pink oooone," she called out as she stepped into the kitchen, looking at the way things were rearranged and how the kitchen staffed looked mildly annoyed. "Pink one? Did you find it yet?" Mina asked, moving around and sniffing at the air. She was using her sense of smell to find the little fae. The vampire had an inkling of where the short one would be, mainly because she knew where she hid the candy. But it was much more fun to play cat and mouse, it was much more fun to have a little hunt. She wasn't actually going to eat the girl, but she did want to smell her more and perhaps be a small bit creepy. It was hard not to be weird sometimes.

(( With the reminder announcement, just wanted to give this a little nudge to say this is still open and explain if anyone wishes to join in, they're still able to. Basically, come to a giant open mansion party with lots of refreshments, find Mina in the WWII nurse's outfit in the house and get a treat. Linger if you want to, but you don't have to. :) ))
Avalon looks at the large mansion. It was most definitely beautiful, but it had something off about it. It's just your imagination, Av. Her cheeks were rosy, seeing that it was quite cold outside. She had lived in this neighborhood for some time, but never really cared to introduce herself to her neighbors. They all had very large houses, whereas her's was not so large. She tended to spend the majority of her money on old cars. Her family said she was crazy for buying cars that wouldn't even work, but she saw the potential in them. She steps inside the house. It said it was open, right? Well... The part of the house she was in lacked any guests. "Hello?" She calls out, her voice echoing.
