Hey all, first post on here but far from my first roleplay. Searching for anywhere between 1 and 3 player for a free form, forum style Rp (i.e MSN or F-List) in my original Cybperunk setting (described below). Criminal types would likely fit best due to the nature of Kara's life, but if you could think of a tangible reason how they could meet/ stick together I'm all ears.
The Setting:
Cyberpunk cities are such melting pots that there is barely any distinction between countries anymore with the ever increasing influence of globalism. The surface is almost exclusivity lived on by the rich, with the surface dotted with luxurious promenades and elegant plazas. Where the common man lives. however is beneath the surface, in the Lower City. A dimly lit and scarcely maintained collection of prefab housing districts and market towns where the everyday person lives their lives. If you went even lower however, you'd get to the Undercity, a wretched hive where only the poorest of the poor live, or any criminal unlucky enough to be exiled down there. Entrance in and out of the Undercity is strictly forbidden, and heavily guarded, those poor souls will never see the light of day again. Mega corporations all but rule the planet, with the government acting as little more than puppets for whoever has the most power, money and influence, meaning almost anything can be legalised, provided you have the funds and connections to purchase a license for it. About 98.5% of species on life have perished, forcing most of the population to rely on synthetic food to survive, with the real stuff shipped in from the colonies along with a hefty tax tacked on top, meaning only the rich can afford it. Space travel is possible with the first experimentation with FTL, but like all good things no one but the filthy rich could afford to live in the colonies, and generational ships are still predominantly used.

Some magic. Few can use it, but most of the players probably won't have it. Magical characters will likely believe that they are all alone.
Far future, perhaps interstellar travel (generation ships)
Unrest may be part of the setting, but any scenes that happen to involve combat may be summarized.
