New Moderators - RP Repository

We had a lot of applications for the moderator positions, and it was very hard deciding. Thank you so much to everyone who applied! There were a lot of strong contenders, and I still have my eye on many of you for the future. But five stood out as having had consistent positive attitudes on the forums toward both new and old members, plus some wonderful (and in some cases surprising!) past experience in playing the role of moderator.

Please join me in welcoming Dylan, Sanne, SeraphicStar, Sherlock and darth_angelus to the ranks of forum moderators.

It's my hope that getting capable moderators established now will help head off potential problems in the future, and preserve the community feeling of the RPR even as the site expands.

These aren't the only five with new powers of moderation. Group founders, you can now set and police your own rules on your own forums with new buttons to move, delete, lock and "stick" your group's forum topics. The ability to assign extra moderators to assist you in running your groups will also be released shortly.

Our new moderators will be facing their first challenge at the end of this week. The RPR will be having its first official "event", that may significantly increase traffic on the site for several days. There is a lot of material banked to release over the course of this celebration, in addition to contests and other fun stuff. Watch your inboxes for an official announcement!

A hearty congratulations to our new moderators! Just keep doing what you're doing already.

Thank you, Kim, for giving your community some extra pairs of watchful eyes to keep things the way they are. I'm looking forward to all the fun programming-related doodads you'll be able to accomplish now!

Yes, thankyou Kim for choosing me and my esteemed colleagues for the moderator team, we'll do what we can to rule the site with an iron fi...uh...I mean help people with their problems

As Sanne has already said, if you do have a problem, please let us know and we'll sort it out as quickly as possible

I hope we can give RPR the best start as Moderators just like it deserves.
