Meet & Greet & Make

  • Here we go...

Not sure why this hasn't been done yet, so here we go!

I work in game retail for a living. There, about 10% of the people I encounter work with strive against all odds to come up with small and large games both. Beyond that, I've witnessed a similar phenominon in RP, where so many people dream of making games. Not everyone is qualified nor is every dream as perfect as the next, but if everyone put in their respective efforts RPers could make grand things together.

So here's the deal. Got a skill you know can be part of making a game, but don't know where to look? Start joining up. Can you do art, rendering, music, scripting, flow charts, level design, or any other major component? Come on, give it a go! Start networking, and it can be done. Expect it to take time. Check in now and then. Direct any friends here you feel could contribute.

My internet is currently very limited, so don't be surprised if it takes me several days to accept an application. Once we get a few interesting people, whoever shows valid potential in managing it will gladly be passed the metaphorical keys.

RULES AND SUGGESTIONS: Do not give away your ideas too publicly. You never know when a thief is browsing the net. When you join up, start by listing, on our group forum, what your skill is that you offer to the area. If you have any actual education in the field, tell us! If not, that's okay. Not everyone needs a degree to be stellar. As members start filing in, we'll see about adding more drive to it. For now, we're seeing how many people are available and interested here before setting any more immediate goals.
