Also known as the Three Year War, the Holy War was a bloody battle between the Humans and Vampires that ended in the latter's total extinction.
As its alternate name suggests, the war lasted only three short years. It would have ended in a defeat for the Humans if it wasn't for the newly-formed organization known as the Inquisition and the Holy Knights they produced. In just one year, they managed to completely wipe out the Vampires, bringing the war to a very decisive victory for the Human race.
After two hundred years, the Holy War has been all but forgotten, mostly due to the Inquisition doing its best to cover the whole event up. It was part of their decision to hide the existence of Vampires from the world. Schools have been instructed to withhold the topic from their curriculums, and the truth is now only taught to the highest of nobility or those with special privileges.
