Welcome to the AMGS

  • Pangs of nervousness, fear, or perhaps even excitement run through you as you sit amongst hundreds of girls just like you inside of the massive auditorium.

On the stage is someone you've never met before, but the whispers among the girls nearby you have painted her as "Director Mononobe", a tall, buxom woman appearing to be in her late thirties. Her gaze is sharp, blue eyes scanning the faces in the crowd one by one. They eventually land on you, and just when you start to think you can see a glare forming, she finally pushes up her glasses and speaks, her voice projected loudly in the room despite having no microphone in front of her.

"Magic. The study and application of the many affinities of life. Today you find yourselves thrust into this new and strange world--perhaps by choice, perhaps not. But it is with this turn of events that you have been presented with a unique opportunity. An opportunity to defend your friends, your family, your home, from horrors unimaginable.

"However, such an opportunity is not without sacrifice. To put one's life on the line for another is far from an easy decision to make. And yet...here you are. Chosen by forces beyond your comprehension, you were brought here because you displayed a potential that very few in this world possess. Heroism. Selflessness. The willingness to stand up for what is right and just. Whatever it may be, it has shown us that you are worthy.

"Your path will not be a gentle one. There will be many perils, the likes of which you have never seen before. Many of you will not live to see adulthood. Many more will suffer fates worse than death. If you are not willing to accept that, then there is no shame in withdrawing. You will be returned to your lives of ignorance, forgetting all you heard here, and we will likely never meet again.

"However, if you are among the few who understand that there is no victory without risk, no glory without sacrifice, then you are ready to take the first step."

With that, Director Mononobe turns to leave. Just before she exits the stage, she turns back and, with a smirk directed right at you, says, "I wish you the best of luck."
