!!!! THIS IS AN OUT OF CHARACTER POST !!!!

So I have just recently been promoted to Founder!

( Psst! You can find out a bit more information in The Story's announcement, found here! )

First off, let me introduce myself.

My name is Zinroth, but my preferred name is Light. Some of you may know me as the person who plays the Undertale antagonist and/or villain Chara. Some of you may not even know me at all, which is fine! Hello! I'm Light, and I hope we can all get along great.
I am a very relaxed person, and when I say that, I mean I am very relaxed. I do not get angry easy. I joke and play around a lot, I like to lighten spirits, talk to people, get involved, all those sorts of nice things. Most importantly, I am a peacekeeper. This means, if possible, I would prefer solving issues through peace or by pacifistic manners (my friends have noted me to be a combination of Frisk and Sans from Undertale in personality), but I am not above putting my foot down if a situation calls for it. While I am nice, this does not mean you can take advantage of it. (And please don't. You monster.)
I am a girl of many fandoms, so there's bound to be at least one or two we share, etc., or a middle-ground we can talk about. I'm typically very calm-headed and open-minded to things.
Basically, as both a person and a founder, do not feel hesitant to contact me for any reason or regards, questions, story ideas, etc.; I can and will listen to everyone!

Now, about the group..

While I try and sort things out, I'm reaching out to you guys for some advice.
I know we are a relatively small group currently, but eventually I hope to change that. Player and staff involvement in groups like these are very important to their success, as well.
( On that note, feel free to invite anyone you would like! )

So here's what I want to do.

I want YOU guys to comment about..

What do you like? What do you dislike?
What do you hope to see, or not see, in the future?
What kind of changes would you like to see?

Things like that!

Here are some minor notes/changes that I may end up making:
  • The time limits on fights will be removed and/or altered, though they should still be done in a timely manner. I know life can interfere suddenly, and that's okay, but the key point is to be respectful and let everyone know about your time, posts, etc., and if you have to leave, before hand. If you think fights are going to take a while, you can establish a winner before hand, let a staff know, and THEN play it out.
  • Fights can be done in any style you want; some people prefer turn base, old style DnD (dice rolls and everything,) and some people, like myself, prefer freeform. Whatever you like!
  • I've never really liked the idea of 'better rewards for better writing' since I know that everyone has their own style, own writing, and own way of wording things, and I feel like this encourages judgement or self-doubt, but that is just me. I think this will be changed from 'quality of writing' to something like 'base EXP/rewards, then more depending on who won,' or varying on involvement in the group itself. However, this isn't certain!
(Also, since I love to help people improve, you may be approached by me personally with some advice and tidbits about how to improve, if you are willing to accept it!)
  • Other ways to gain exp/levels outside of fighting will probably be added, such as involvement in the group or NPC quests (yay, writing!) or the like, for those who are not huge fans on violence or don't know how to really fight. (Maybe more involvement = more rewards/exp., etc., and follows the same rule as gaining rewards from fighting?)
  • Entry posts for applications are no longer required but are strongly encouraged. This is to help encourage people to join and get involved. Profiles for characters joining must have at least some adequate information, especially in regards to a player's writing. I've noticed that most people on RPR have at least some level of maturity and decent literacy, however.
  • People are responsible for distributing their own initial stat points, the given ten (10) when they join, and letting me or a moderator know about it, so we can keep track. A complete 'roster' topic will eventually be posted in the roster forums, of all members or characters joining the group, which will be kept updated with levels and stats. You may be PMed for these later on!
I'll have to go over the information thus far to see if anything wasn't already covered, though those are my thoughts currently. :)

Anyway, thanks for listening to my babbling! This isn't my first role-play group, but it is my first one I have run in a while and my first here on RPR, so I look forwards to seeing how it ends up under my wing.
I want to hear your thoughts, opinions, etc., on how everything is set up, what you want to see, or not see, what you hope for, all that goodness!
You can comment or private message me personally, if you prefer to remain anonymous.
Thanks for reading!
