Through the lands of Epicness, the two wandered. "Hey look at this seed pod I found!" Varian held up a seed pod he found underneath a tree. "I wonder what kind of seed this is. Ha! I bet this would be a great alchemy ingredient." He excitedly said, proud of his find.
"What are you? A forager now?" Cassandra raised her brow and smirked. "Maybe." Varian sniffed.
"Okay, well still. Keep close, don't want you getting lost or hurt." Cassandra beckoned him back to her. "Fine." Varian sighed and came back to her, holding his seed pod. He pulled out the map again and looked at it, marking off where he found the seed pod, just in-case he needed to find that location later.
Suddenly, Cassandra stopped and put her arm out. "Whoa, a lizard! Stay behind me, Varian." She gasped and then glared, pulling out her sword. Varian backed up a step, but stayed behind Cassandra, since he was told to. The green lizard let out a grotesque-sounding hiss, its' tongue crawling out of its' tongue, slimy and long.
Cassandra swung her sword, slicing at the lizard's back. Blood spilled from it as it let out a painful screech and she pulled the sword from its' now-lifeless body. "There. Easy."
Varian's eyes a lit with amaze, his cheeks blushing slightly. "W-Wow. That was amazing, Cassie..."
"Yeah, thanks. Com'on, we need to head in further, but stay behind me, don't want you getting attacked by one of those gross things." Cassandra stepped over the lizard's body and continued on.
Varian avoided eye-contact with the blood, hemophobic and all, and continued with Cassandra.
