The year is 1176 and currently the island is lush and flourishing, servants and guards patrolling the grounds every so often, ensuring the safety and happiness of those that reside. There are three main areas of the island; the Castle Court, the Beach, and the Jungle.
The Castle Court is cleaned and neat, and heavily protected for the Sacred Fale'i Tree's safety. There are servants that will bring just about anything you need, wherever you are, within the curtain walls. The sanctuary of the Sacred Fale'i Tree is the most serene and peaceful of all areas.
The Beach is more laid back and relaxed, luau's are a regular occurrence along the beach which always end in booze and bonfires. The homes along the lower docks make a perfect scene, and allow those that want to lead a wonderfully simple life.. which is a direct contrast of the castle.
The Sacred Fale'i Tree is the soul of the island, the tree that is the ultimate power source of the land. Magical effects are slightly dulled in her presence, as she soaks up whatever energy she can to remain strong. Overall, the energy she releases throughout the lands is peaceful, and has a calming effect over those that choose to treat her grounds with respect.
Will you treat her with respect or disobey the lands? Either way, the outcome should keep the promise of adventure.
History
Click here for historyOne day, Akau Haleakua, was leading a voyage across the open waters, a storm was coming in. With little to do, trapped within the raging sea, the team could only wait.
Unfortunately Akau was the only survivor, and eventually landed upon a beautiful, uninhabited island. The man was near death and had not much strength, but he relied on a large coconut tree he found for nutrients. Everyday he'd get what he needed from the juice, and slowly he began to gain what strength he'd lost. It is believed the tree is the soul of the island, and nurtured Akau back to health.
For months the male worked on building himself a home, and it wasn't long before others found the island and joined in.
It wasn't but a few years before he became King Akau Haleakua, and ruled the island.. Though there is always speculation that he is ruling for the sacred tree. The tree is well guarded and the castle was built in a way to protect it, without suffocating it. It is a place of serenity, now.. but there has always been speculation.
When King Akau Haleakua passed, they held secretive meetings near the tree.. every week until finally, a new king was announced. King Makaio Auali'i.

But what about Kasuria? Great question! We are edging away from the Drangonlands continuities and Kasuria, but that doesn't mean your character couldn't have come from there! It just means that we will not be held under the same continuity plots, and will do our own thing.

Mastery Festival (January 5th)
A day to celebrate the new years beginning, as well as to test those with skill based jobs and high ranking positions. This is to ensure the best suited hold certain positions. (Blacksmith, Watch Chief, Tailor, etc) Their skills will be tested with a series of games, and should they fail, the winner will replace them. A joyous day of celebration, complete with a bonfire and a feast.

Anyone is welcome to an Audience with the King to discuss issues / concerns.
All Fool's Day (April 1st)
The Jesters take charge for the day and caused mayhem with jokes and jests!
Midsummers Eve (Third friday of June, marking a three day celebration)
Marking the beginning of the midsummer festivities by gathering around a flower-festooned maypole to sing, dance, and drink.
Midsummer Days (Third Saturday / Sunday of June)
Celebrated by visiting healing water wells and making a large bonfire to ward away evil spirits.

Celebrate The Sacred Fale'i Tree's birthday.
All Souls Day (November 1st)
It is custom to visit the graveyards and to keep as many candles as the deceased upon the island. Lighted candles signify that the love, hope and joy they shared with people they had left behind. There are also feasts and bonfires. -
