Alas! There is foul murder afoot upon the island of Guildereim. Such is not uncommon, however, this one threatens to unravel the very existence of the Tether. An investigation has been set up to catch the perpetrator and unravel the dark secrets that threaten to plague the island.

HOW TO PLAY

This event will be played with watered down D&D mechanics. A party of several characters will have to band together to investigate the trail of evidence while using check rolls for investigation and knowledge in order to solve the mystery. They will undoubtedly have to work together in order to solve the crime, or let the murderer walk free with TGT's secrets.

There will be several events announced all across the dream depending on how well the characters are able to look into it, and what they discover. They may also run into danger, including fighting enemies or walking into traps, which will be played out using the system created for the Drakorian Siege.

Characters are allowed to investigate outside of the events, and offering evidence of it to the event planner (Monstrum) will give them advantages over others, such as boosts to rolls or knowledge others might not know.

RULES

~ All of TGT's general rules apply to this event.

~ Characters of a supernatural nature will not be able to sense/know information unless it has been green lit by the GM. If supernatural abilities are allowed to be used, a 1d10 dice will be rolled to see how effective it is.

~ Patrons and owned slaves (with permission from their owners) will be allowed to join in with the event. Unowned slaves will have to get permission from a staff member in order to join in. Any staff can be asked, so long as there is still a position open in the event.

~ The fight system that may be used consists of rolling a 1d3 dice, which one equalling a miss, a two equalling rolling a 1d10 for damage and a three equaling a 1d20 for damage. A similar system will be used when or if the characters come across traps.

~ Exchanging information OOCly is allowed, however transferring that information ICly is frowned upon, and those found out doing as such will be penalized or prohibited from joining future events pertaining to this one.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

This is where in-game emits will be pasted for those wishing to keep up to date with the event.

- A doomsayer known as The Shrouded One stirs up the main hall with bleak prophecies. Thanks to Trygve's quick thinking, he manages to heave the strange creature to the underhall for interrogation.

- The Shrouded One is found murdered in the underhall, along with several guards. The scene is a horrific display of gore and violence, though not all was as it seems...

- A group involving Monstrum, Metuselah, Pleasure, Serath, Cu Sith, Ryuo, Stasia and Elliot Marlowe investigate the grizzly murder scene and come across a trail that leads them down into the sewers. There they find one of the overflow pipes defended by a mass of flesh and tentacles that struck out when approached. The investigation discovered that the deaths were caused by magical means and are somehow tied to a cult known as the Terrestrial Sun.

- A group consisting of Monstrum, Mayhem, Carnality, Tether, Trygve, Serath, Remei Aoki, Toffi and Lye traveled back into the sewers to deal with the construct guardian. After having it burned away thanks to Mayhem's magic they were then able to travel up the overflow pipe, where they came across what seemed to be failed experiments of some kind. These pig-men beasts attacked at the first show of light and the group attempted to fend them off, but there were far too many and were forced to retreat. The pipe was then lit up with a powerful spell by Mayhem, reducing the remaining pig-men to ash and opening the pipe up for further exploration.

- A group consisting of Monstrum, Mayhem, Carnality, Tether, Stasia, Tahari, Toffi, Ryuo, Trygve, Jacob Cross, Serath, Lee Solshard and Sabaoth delved into the now cleared tunnels to find a disturbing sight - towers of skulls piled high, a twisted altar of cruel intentions and piles of dirty fabric littered the make-shift room, all guarded by a fetish charm made of bone and tanned skin in the 'T' shape marking they had previously found on The Shrouded One's body. A corpse of a pig-man was discovered, and it came to light that such creatures had no brains...which were instead stored in canopic jars at the altar. After the group found a manually dug tunnel leading down into the earth below they continued their exploration, coming across a bat who was working on another altar. Alerted to the group the Summoner quickly brought his monstrous construct to life, made of the skin and fur of his previous victims. The construct was too much for the group, who came unprepared for such a beast, and a retreat was called, forcing a collapse of the tunnel to prevent the Summoner and his beast from giving chase. It was decided that proper siege weapons would be necessary to take it down, and regroup for the final battle the day after.
