City of Everstone

  • Everstone is hidden in the mist-wrapped folds of the Shenandoah Valley, veiled from mundane sight, and pulsing with the lives of aetherworlders who have shaped it for over three centuries. It’s equal parts haunted beauty, political pressure cooker, and supernatural refuge.

    Population: ~241,300
    Aetherworlders: ~85% of residents
Humans: Less than 15%, all believers
  • Geography

Everstone lies between Massanutten Mountain to the west and Bearface Mountain to the east, hugging the South Fork of the Shenandoah River.

To the west are long, forested slopes with a gradual rise from farmland to hardwood forest; sandstone and shale dominate the ridge. In the east, it’s steeper and rockier with exposed granite and quartzite, boulder fields, talus slopes, and sudden verticality. The valley between is dominated by limestone and dolomite bedrock with deep, fertile soils, historically prized farmland, rolling fields, and low rises.
