    Character Creation:

    To begin. The primary rule of thumb when designing your character is to keep things as immersive and realistic as possible. The year is 1899 -- there are no vehicles, bionic limbs, or super weapons. The number of fantasy elements beyond the alt-historical map is nil. This is non-negotiable. An in-depth guide to fashion and such is in the works, but google is only a click away! Do a little research if you're unsure about something.

    Please ensure you have read the rules before getting started.

    Required Fields.

    These are areas which your character's profile must cover:

    Name. Your character's full name, coupled with any nickname they may have adopted.

    Age.

    Gender.

    Race. Your character's heritage. Despite the timeline's acutely unpleasant ideals and injustices, the Heartland Gang is accepting of any and all heritages.

    Physical attributes. Your character's appearance. Height, build, complexion, gait, scars -- anything that will help build a visual image of your character. Photo or artistic references are welcome, but you are asked to avoid anime/cartoonistic approaches.

    Backstory. How your character came to be who they are. Don't worry -- everything is a secret, unless you say otherwise.

    Personality. Your characters inner workings and exterior quirks. Their likes and dislikes, their hobbies, their vices. Whatever makes 'em tick.

    Skills. Skills and hobbies define a person's role. Are they an outstanding gunslinger? A remarkable horseman? A silver-tongued seducer? A culinary artist? Remember that not everyone is a fighter, but each holds an integral role within the group.

    Inventory. Their gun, their knife, their horse (if they have them!) Small trinkets they like to keep close. The Heartland Gang wanderers don't carry much, but everything they do carry is important.
