Social media is a powerful tool. It has the power to affect the minds of many, and influence the masses in a way arguably more effective than even world leaders.

So powerful a tool is our interconnectivity, that just a single post from a large enough source is enough to shake the very foundations of our society. Just a single wrong word said is enough to start wars with lasting effects on the world.

And yet, the core of our society depends upon this interconnectivity. We crave the euphoria of being in the loop, of being up to date on current events and trends, and being able to interact with others both near and far in a way that would otherwise be impossible.

One of the most common mediums for worldwide connection is social media. Websites and applications that allow users to create and share content and, more importantly, participate in social networking.

Social media has existed for decades in many formats, but in today's society, text-based services have dominated the market. With its massive rise in popularity, so too came those who sought to take advantage of its potential for even further growth.

Thus entered ReachMe Japan, a social networking company that recently sprung up from seemingly out of nowhere. With innumerable funds, they purchased the licenses and rights for every social networking company they could get in contact with. In under a year, they completely bought out the market, and anyone they hadn't already paid off simply fell into obscurity as their power and influence grew.

Then, two years ago, ReachMe Japan, better known by the moniker RMJ, launched their own social media app called ReachMe. Today, ReachMe is the world's most popular and successful social media service, as it combined all of a user's previous social media data under a single account, including friends, posts, pictures, etc., and merged them into a single profile.

Almost everyone has signed up for ReachMe, and in just two years after its launch, over 98% of Japan's population had created accounts. If you were to throw a stone into a crowd one thousand times, chances are that you will hit someone with a ReachMe account every single time.

With tried-and-true features from other social media apps like re-posts, live mode, and a donation function carefully selected and reconfigured for use in ReachMe, it can truly be called the ultimate social media.

"In conclusion, the rise in popularity of ReachMe Japan and their immensely popular app ReachMe have revolutionized social media and the way we as humans connect with each other."
