I've noticed that Old Corona and the Kingdom of Corona are on two different levels of advancement. I think it's because Old Corona is a village that isn't provided enough money and/or not cared about by King Frederic (due to the argument that Quirin, leader of the village, and Frederic had over the Sundrop Flower, possibly?); as seen from how many Black Rocks took over the place and King Frederic lying to Rapunzel about it being all taken care of when it was not. (Though to be fair, Frederic had no idea how to fix it either, but he had done various other things to make himself a bit unlikable, such as locking Rapunzel in one of the castle towers "for her safety", which probably triggered Rapunzel's past of Mother Gothel and the tower; and other such things.)
If you look here, you can notice that, versus the Kingdom of Corona, the village of Old Corona still has Outhouses rather than indoor plumbing. As this was set around the 1800s-1960s, this shouldn't have been present. And you can also notice in this picture (below) that it seems the wells are also less-maintained and older-fashioned than ones in Corona, *if in Corona at all.

(*Can someone test my theory? I don't remember any wells. I do however remember a fountain, so...)

I agree. I also agree that lying to raps is the best idea, Fredrick! Maybe the wells came later…? It’s a quint little village, honestly, dispite being run down.
